Molong Village Markets
Monday 5th October
9-1pm

I have just made some herbal bath salts for tomorrow's market.
They are jam packed with all the good stuff!

Himalayan pink salts
Epsom salts
Magnesium chloride
Celtic sea salt
Dead sea salt

That's just the salts!
What about the herbs??

Nettle
Lemon balm
Lemon verbena
Lemon rind
Calendula
Chamomile

And there is a touch of kunzea and lemongrass essential oil.

All in a lovely 250g jar and comes with a wooden scoop. All of which can be used again for you to create your own blend.

I chose these particular herbs because it's spring and we need to move on from the hibernation of winter and out into the sun and light. Leave behind the rest and reflection that winter brings and go forth into what our next step and phase is.

Baths are great for letting go of what we no longer need to hold on to.

The salts are associated with cleansing and healing. They ground us to the earth that holds us.
The herbs support us emotionally and deepen our connection with nature and ourselves, because we are nature!

I'll also have plenty of lip balms, body butters, herbal body scrubs and much more.

See you there

Can you get a greener colour??
It just projects vigour and health.
This is one of my patches of lemon balm.

I've been abit fluey this week and definitely not feeling as vigourous and full of life as this lovely lemon balm.

As the herbs and plants tend to know what you need they have a way of making themselves known to you. There was no way I could go past this beauty without stopping to wonder at its vitality and what message it had for me.

Lemon balm is known for its affinity with anxiety. I have found it to be a gentle supporting herb for emotional healing. It has an energy of ease and joy about it.

How does this relate to my fluey state, well its telling me to go easy, don't stress about all the stuff I'm not getting done. It goes deeper and reminds me I'm ok, this will pass, its not like before when I was really sick (bowel cancer, a long time ago, but my body remembers how crap it felt and has a panic).

So yes nature is pretty clever we should really listen.

I probably should add this is all according to me, what I'm learning and experiencing so always do your own research into what us right for you. It's so personal and individual. There is never a one size fits all kind of scenario.

Come and see me at the upcoming markets. Share your experiences. I love hearing from others and their stories.

Getting ready for Blue Mountains Sustainability Festival in Katoomba this Saturday 26th September.
There is heaps happening all geared towards living sustainably;
Speakers
Workshops
Music
A sustainable shopping trail and lots more that I haven't mentioned.

I'm very excited to be part of this as the products I create are very aligned with sustainability.

Sustainability is something I am working towards in my day to day life. An ongoing work in progress and I definitely do not have things figured out yet.

The products I create are all part of that learning and with that learning comes a deeper connection and respect for Mother Earth and the bounty of nature all around us.

One thing I've learnt which I love practising is reciprocity - not just taking but giving back. A respectful acknowledgement of what has been received and returning this with a deep gratitude. This can be leaving a bowl of water for the bees (with some stones in so they don't drown) or simply being present with nature and expressing gratitude or joy in a beautiful flower. It is saying I see you.

So my products have this intention, it is there when I create, forage, infuse blend and is in the finished result.

I love going to events and meeting people and hearing that they are also making their own salves and lip balms. Anyone can do this. Just listen to that wild spirit that resides in you and remember those old ways πŸπŸ’›

Made some Revitalising Herbal Body Scrubs yesterday.
I think I'm getting there with the ratio of salts and coconut oil.
As lovely as the coconut oil is, it can be very hard to get out when it solidifies on cold days.
The ratio I have now means less coconut oil but it has created this soft, sugary, sand feel.
And I love it!

Just working with the herbs yesterday, adding this and that from my jars of herbs I've harvested was very therapeutic.
They speak to you as you interact with them.
A sense of peace and anchoring to the present comes in.

So the finished product has;
Mint
Thyme
Lemon verbena
Lemon balm
Lemon

The salts Himalayan pink salts, epsom salts blended with green clay draws us back to the earth, back to the present. This is where we are meant to be, learning the lessons we are here to learn, meeting the souls we are meant to cross paths with and immersing ourselves in the healing energy Mother Earth gifts us.

I'll be at Perthville Artisans Market Bathurst & District Artisans
Saturday 19th September from 9am

Come and chat, check out all the beautiful things people make with such love.

See you there πŸπŸ’›
