A little reminder that surface piercings don’t always last forever…🙁

This one gave the client a good 8–9 months before it started showing signs of rejection. At that point, we removed it and let the area heal rather than fighting a losing battle. 🫶🏻

Does that mean surface piercings only last 8–9 months? Nope! Some can last years, while others may reject sooner. Anatomy, placement, pressure, friction, jewellery and your individual healing all play a part.

Sometimes your body just says, “Yeah… Nah 🤨

Once this area has completely healed, we’re giving it a little career change 😏😉

I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with Raven Ink Studios, combining tattoo work with piercing to create something completely unique.

The tattoo was designed to flow with the natural shape of the ear, we then added jewellery to complement the artwork rather than compete with it 💎👌💎

Because sometimes your jewellery doesn’t need to sit beside your body art…

It can become part of it. 🖤

Every ear is different, and I’ll always assess your anatomy first to make sure it’s a safe option.

💎 Healing takes patience too!
Industrial piercings connect two piercing sites with one bar, so they generally take 6–12 months to fully heal.

To give your piercing the best chance:
✨ Clean it with sterile saline as recommended.
✨ Avoid sleeping on that side (a piercing pillow is your best friend!).
✨ Don’t play with it or let others touch it
✨ Avoid unnecessary pressure from headphones, helmets, or hair getting caught.

💎 A well-healed industrial is absolutely worth the wait! Treat it well, and it’ll become one of the coolest piercings you’ll ever own 🤘💎🫶🏻
