There's something about the first weeks of spring that makes us want to change things. Clear the cupboards. Open the windows. Move our bodies again. Book the haircut. Look after our skin. Make plans.

But perhaps not every new season needs to be about reinvention. Sometimes the most meaningful changes are actually a return.

Back to the things that make you feel well.
Back to the people who make you feel most yourself.
Back to rituals you've let slip while life was busy.
Back to your body.
Back to your own needs.
Back to yourself.

So if spring has stirred something in you, you don't necessarily need a whole new version of yourself.

Perhaps there are simply parts of you ready to come back into the light. 🌿

There is something deeply satisfying about waking up and already looking put together.

No mascara. No lash curler. No spending ten minutes trying to make your brows behave.

Just beautifully lifted lashes and perfectly groomed brows doing all the hard work for you.

Our advanced Nourish lash lifting treatment is designed to do more than simply curl the lashes.
We love it because it helps create incredible lift while supporting the condition and strength of the natural lash, leaving them looking healthy, glossy and beautifully defined.

It's one of our favourite examples of being a little high maintenance so you can be gloriously low maintenance.

One appointment every 6-8 weeks. Weeks of waking up looking fresh, polished and ready for whatever the day has in store: school drop-off and work meetings. Date night, pilates, weekend brunch… No effort required.

And if you're adding brows as well? Chef's kiss. 🤌

Pair it with a facial and your friends may never hear from you again because you'll be too busy admiring yourself in every reflective surface you walk past. 😉

Okay, it’s officially crunch time for your summer sugaring journey. ☀️

The weather is warming up, the legs are starting to come out, and if your summer dream involves not thinking about your body hair every three days, now is the time to get started.

Because sugaring isn’t just about one appointment before you head to the beach. The magic is in consistency.

When you first make the switch from shaving, we’re working with hairs at all different stages of their growth cycle. With regular appointments, we can begin getting more of that hair growing on a consistent cycle, which means you can work towards those glorious 3–4 weeks between appointments rather than reaching for the razor every few days.

And the longer you stick with it, the better it gets.

In our experience with long-term sugaring clients, we often see less noticeable regrowth, with hairs becoming finer and softer over time. That means less of that prickly, blunt “bikini-line beard” feeling you get after shaving, and increasingly more days where body hair simply isn't on your radar. This finer-regrowth effect is also recognised as a potential benefit of repeated sugaring.

So think beyond this summer.

Start your sugaring journey now, stay consistent, and by the time next summer rolls around, your relationship with your body hair could look very different.

Finer, softer, less noticeable regrowth. Longer stretches between tending to it. No razor nick on the knee five minutes before leaving the house. 😂

And a whole lot more hair-free days in the sun.

We also care for the skin underneath, with gentle exfoliation and the option to incorporate body treatments and Dermalux LED where appropriate to support calm, healthy, beautifully smooth skin.

So if you’ve been saying “I’m going to try sugaring this summer”… this is us telling you to lock it in.

Book your first sugaring appointment now and start getting your hair into its summer rhythm.
DM us “SUGAR”, call the salon or book via the link in our bio. ♡

We hear versions of it all the time.

“When work settles down.”
“After the kids finish this term.”
“When things aren't so busy.”
“I just need to...”

Then I'll make some time for me.

But sometimes the quieter season we've been waiting for never actually arrives. One thing finishes, and another just takes its place.

Perhaps taking care of yourself was never supposed to be something you earned once everything else was done.
Perhaps it needs to exist amongst the living of your life.

An hour where someone else looks after you.
A walk without your phone.
Going to bed earlier.
Eating properly.
Saying no without writing a three-paragraph apology for it.

Whatever care looks like for you, don't keep saving yourself for a quieter version of your life. You live here, too.

Natasha and Echoe were wandering through Kmart the other day when they reached the beauty aisle, and Natasha suddenly stopped.

Sitting on the shelf was an at-home microdermabrasion wand.
For anyone to buy.
And take home.
And start microdermabrading their own face with.

Safe to say, our skin therapist of 25+ years had some thoughts…
But it started a bigger conversation.

Everywhere we look, there’s another device, mask, active, serum, peel or “must-have” ingredient promising to transform our skin.

And somewhere between TikTok trends, paid influencer collaborations and the beauty aisle becoming increasingly… adventurous… we think we’ve lost the plot a little.

We’re not anti-device. We’re not anti-innovation. And we certainly don’t think everything outside a professional treatment room is bad.

We just want you to stop throwing things at your skin because the internet told you to.
Your skin barrier, your concerns and your goals are individual. What works beautifully for one person might be useless for you, or potentially make things worse.

So before you buy it, peel with it, zap yourself with it or add it to the seventeen other things currently in your routine…

Ask us.

Bring it in. Send us the TikTok. Show us the device. Tell us what you’re hoping it will achieve.
If we think it could work beautifully for you, we’ll tell you how to incorporate it.
If we think your money is better spent elsewhere, we’ll tell you that too.
And if what you genuinely need sits outside our scope, we’ll refer you to someone who can help.

Because your skin health and your results will always matter more to us than selling you another thing.

Now please excuse Natasha while she recovers from the Kmart microdermabrasion wand. 😂

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been hearing some familiar little comments in the treatment room.

“My skin feels a bit all over the place." // “It was dry last week, and now I’m randomly breaking out." // “I don’t know what my skin wants at the moment.”

If it isn't the age-old occurrence of between-seasons-skin-itis…

Ladies and gents, we’ve officially arrived in spring, where one day we’re reaching for a jumper; the next we’re wondering why we wore one. Cold mornings become beautiful sunny afternoons, followed by rain, wind and another temperature drop just to keep us guessing.

As we move out of winter and into spring, our skin is adjusting too.

The richer textures, extra nourishment and protective layers that carried your skin through the colder months may suddenly start feeling a little too much. Warmer days can bring increased oil and perspiration, while those lingering cold, windy days can still leave skin feeling dry, tight or sensitive.

It’s a bit of a seasonal balancing act.

This is often the perfect time to review rather than completely reinvent your routine. Perhaps we lighten one texture, adjust your hydration, reintroduce something more active, or manage the seasonal adjustment with a different professional treatment course.

If it’s been a while since we’ve reviewed your products, come in and have a chat with us. We’ll take a look at what your skin is doing now and what you’ve been using through winter to help you transition your ritual into the warmer months without confusing your skin in the process.

Beautiful skin isn’t skin that behaves the same 365 days a year – it’s skin that’s listened to, understood and cared for as it changes.

A little question for you… When was the last time you gave your body the same level of care you give your face?

We spend so much time investing in our complexion (and rightly so), but beautiful skin doesn't stop at the jawline. The skin on our body changes with the seasons too.

And beyond the skin itself, our bodies quietly carry so much. Stress, tension, long days…

Our body treatments are about more than exfoliation, hydration or massage.
They're about caring for the whole person, creating space for you to soften, release and return to yourself more when you leave our treatment rooms.

True beauty is found beyond our faces; its our comfortability in our own skin, a healthy glow from head to toe! The ease on our shoulders and lightness in our step.

The most beautiful thing you can wear? Healthy, radiant skin and a nervous system that knows how to rest. ♡

Father’s Day can hold so many different emotions all at once.

For some, it’s coffee in bed, handmade cards and Dad insisting he doesn’t need anything.

For others, it’s grief, distance, longing... complicated relationships, or memories of someone deeply missed.

It can mean being a father, becoming a father, longing to be one, or learning how to father differently from the way you were shown.

Fatherhood isn't one-dimensional. There are our stepdads, our grandfathers, and our foster dads... Our chosen families, those with two dads, single dads, and the men who may never have carried the title, but quietly stepped into the role when someone needed them.

And sometimes, fatherhood means becoming the kind of father you once needed yourself.

Our dads can be the protectors, the teachers, and often the terrible-joke tellers. The voice of reason and the person you call always when your car is making that odd noise... or simply the steady presence that has always made life feel a little safer.

Today at Beauté & BE, we’re thinking of all of you.

The fathers and father figures being celebrated loudly today.

The ones whose absence is felt. The ones doing their best without much recognition. Those navigating loss, estrangement or complicated feelings. Those experiencing their very first Father’s Day, and those who would give anything for one more.

There is no one way to experience this day, and no one way to be a father.

Whatever today looks like for you, we hope there is a little space within it for connection, reflection, and perhaps a reminder to the men who spend so much time caring for everyone else that they deserve to be cared for, too.

Happy Father’s Day, from all of us at Beauté & BE. 🤍
