A little salon update 🤎

As Emma Rapley Hair continues to grow, I’ve made the decision to make a few changes behind the chair from January to ensure I can continue providing the calm, considered and personalised experience that I want every appointment to offer.

Being booked several months in advance and working some very big hours has made me realise that I need to create a more sustainable schedule. From January, I’ll be reducing the number of appointments I take each week and working more intentionally around my availability.

This does mean appointments will be more limited, so I highly recommend booking your future appointments in advance where possible.

With this change, I’ll also no longer be able to create additional appointments or work outside of my normal availability to accommodate rescheduling. I’ll always do my best to find a suitable alternative, however if your preferred time isn’t available, I’ll be happy to add you to my cancellation list and contact you if something earlier becomes available.

I’m also making a small change to the salon environment. As the salon is an intimate space and I want to maintain the peaceful, quiet atmosphere that makes your appointment feel special, I’m no longer able to accommodate additional guests, children or extras brought along to appointments.

Newborn babies are absolutely welcome, however due to the size of the salon, a carrier is recommended rather than a pram.

These changes are all about creating a more relaxed and intentional salon experience for you and for me, and ensuring I can continue to give every client the time, attention and care they deserve.

Yes, hair products expire too! Check the back of your bottles for the expiry date or the little open-jar symbol showing how long they’re good for once opened.

♻️ Expired? Bring them into the salon to be recycled through Sustainable Salons

🌼 Still in date but don’t use it? Why not gift it to a friend who will!

Your brush collects oil, product buildup, dead skin + dust and then you’re putting all of that straight back onto clean hair.

✨ How often? Every 1–2 weeks
✨ How to wash: Remove the hair, soak/clean with warm water + shampoo, gently scrub, rinse well & leave to air dry completely.
