One of the key differences with our Microchanneling in clinic, in comparison to traditional Microneedling, is the Growth Factor & DNA Repair Enzyme Serum used during the treatment 🧬

Microchanneling creates tiny microchannels in the skin, triggering your natural healing response and creating pathways for targeted ingredients to pe*****te more effectively.

Growth factors support skin repair, cellular communication and renewal, while DNA repair enzymes help support the repair of cellular damage caused by environmental stressors, including UV exposure.

Together they help support your skin to repair & renew for healthier-looking skin.

Think smoother texture, improved firmness, more even-looking skin and a healthy glow.

This is one of the reasons I love Procell Therapies Microchanneling, as it stimulates the skin while giving it the right ingredients to support the process.

Did you know up to 80% of visible skin ageing is linked to sun exposure?

Not all light affects your skin in the same way:

• UVA speeds up skin ageing and can contribute to pigmentation.
• UVB causes sunburn.
• Visible light (including blue light) can contribute to pigmentation and uneven skin tone.
Blue light comes from the sun and is also emitted by digital screens.
• Infrared light creates heat, which may contribute to collagen breakdown over time.

A few things to remember:

SPF in your makeup isn’t enough. Most people don’t apply enough product to get the SPF protection listed on the label, so it’s best not to rely on your SPF in makeup as your main form of sun protection.

You don’t need to be at the beach to be exposed to UV. If it’s light outside, UV can still reach your skin, even when you’re driving, sitting near a window, or working indoors, as UVA rays can pass through glass.

Daily broad-spectrum SPF is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your skin and support long-term skin health.

As we age, collagen loss can impact our skin’s elasticity and suppleness, contributing to visible changes such as reduced lip volume and thinning over time.

A decline in collagen and structural support can influence the appearance of the lips, leading to changes in volume, shape and definition.

Genetics give us all unique lip shapes and sizes, and these can naturally evolve as we age, which changes the way our lips look and feel over time.

Every face is different, which is why I recommend a thorough consultation and facial assessment to understand your individual concerns and discuss suitable treatment options to help achieve your aesthetic goals.

Fine lines are a completely natural part of the ageing process.

As we age, our skin becomes thinner, collagen and elastin production gradually decline, and repeated facial movements create small creases over time.

Factors such as sun exposure, dehydration, stress and lifestyle habits can also contribute to making these changes more noticeable.

Understanding why these changes occur is the first step in creating a personalised approach to supporting your skin as it evolves.

If you’d like guidance on your skin health, collagen support and treatment options suited to your individual needs, you’re welcome to book a consultation.

Not all LED Light Therapy is the same.

Medical-grade Dermalux Tri-Wave LED delivers clinically proven wavelengths of light that work beneath the skin’s surface to support healing, reduce inflammation and improve overall skin health.

Each treatment can be customised to your skin’s unique needs by using one or a combination of wavelengths.

Here’s what each wavelength targets:

Red Light (630nm)
• Supports collagen production
• Softens the appearance of fine lines
• Improves skin firmness
• Promotes skin healing
• Restores a healthy glow

Blue Light (415nm)
• Targets acne-causing bacteria
• Helps reduce active breakouts
• Calms inflammation
• Improves congestion
• Balances excess oil

Near Infrared Light (830nm)
• Reduces redness and inflammation
• Supports skin repair
• Promotes wound healing
• Speeds recovery following cosmetic treatments
• Improves overall skin resilience

Why I combine LED with my treatments:

• Enhances your treatment results
• Supports your skin’s natural repair process
• Helps calm the skin after advanced treatments
• Can be tailored to your skin concerns on the day
• Non-invasive, pain-free and suitable for most skin types

Add LED to your next treatment as an add-on to support your skin’s recovery and help optimise your results.

Let’s unpack lower face ageing ↓

As we age, changes in the lower face occur due to a combination of collagen decline, changes in facial fat compartments, bone remodelling, skin laxity, and muscle activity.

Certain muscles play a role in creating downward tension and contributing to lower face ageing:

DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris)
• A muscle that pulls the corners of the mouth downward, contributing to a more downturned mouth appearance.

Mentalis muscle
• Increased activity of this muscle can contribute to chin dimpling, changes in chin projection and deepening of the mental crease.

Platysma muscle
• This broad neck muscle can create a downward pull through the lower face and jawline, contributing to heaviness and reduced definition.

A thorough facial assessment looks beyond one area. It involves assessing muscle movement, facial structure, skin quality and overall balance.
