To this day, I still get my hair cut by my dad in his garage the very place where my journey began 45 years ago, cutting my mates’ hair surrounded by salamis and everything imaginable hanging from the ceiling.
My dad, Santo, is now 92 years young, and he still carries the same passion, pride, and steady hands that made him the barber he became all those years ago.
Sitting in his chair has never been just about a haircut. It’s about the stories, the memories, and the wisdom he shares from a lifetime of dedication to his craft. I listen to him talk about his childhood, the people he met along the way, and the lessons he learned as a young barber building a life through hard work and passion.
Those moments remind me that some things in life are truly priceless tradition, family, memories, and time spent with the people who shaped us.
If you ever get the chance to sit with someone who carries a lifetime of stories, take it. One day, those conversations will mean more than words can explain.

This barber pole that spun in my Nonno’s shop for 40+ years isn’t just a decoration that thing is soaked in stories, conversations, and daily life. I cleaned it up, rewired it, and brought it back to life?
“spins clean and sounds beautiful” is such a perfect way to put it anyone who’s been around old shop equipment knows that hum is like a heartbeat. Not only did I just restore an object; I revived a memory. Craftsmanship and love of craft 💈

Originally from a small island in NZ and now in the big smoke for the past eight years. Fresh out of barber school, trained by some of the best, and genuinely obsessed with the craft.
Loves a clean, traditional cut just as much as pushing a borderline-illegal mullet. Big on quality haircuts and having a laugh, if you leave with a sharp cut and sore cheeks, job done.
