2300 GRAFTS | MALE FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT

This patient underwent a 2300 graft FUE hair transplant, with treatment focused on the frontal scalp and areas of visible thinning behind the hairline.

One of the key decisions in hair transplant planning is where the grafts will have the greatest impact.

In this case, the available grafts were distributed to improve coverage while blending with the patient’s existing hair. Hair thickness, growth direction and the pattern of thinning all influenced the final plan.

The after image shows the patient’s individual outcome at the time of photography.

Procedure performed at Atlantis Medical by Dr Vikram Jayaprakash, MED0001926843.

ℹ️ Please note: These images represent one individual outcome at a specific point in time. Results vary between individuals and are not guaranteed. Outcomes depend on hair characteristics, donor capacity and healing response. Hair transplant surgery carries risks. A consultation with a registered health practitioner is required to assess suitability.

Hair loss in women can be deeply distressing, but treatment should never begin with guesswork.

The first step is understanding what is causing the hair loss. Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may involve medication, support for existing hair or, in selected cases, hair transplant surgery.

A hair transplant can be an option for some women, but only after a proper medical assessment.

If hair transplant results happened overnight, everyone would walk out of the clinic with movie-star hair by the weekend.

In reality, hair restoration takes time.

⏳ First few months: the scalp is healing
🌱 Around 6 months: nearly 60% hair growth becomes visible
✨ 10–12 months: the final hair transplant results appear with fuller density and thickness

Good hair doesn’t rush. It grows.

Low-Level Light Therapy, or LLLT, uses gentle red light without heating or burning the scalp.

For some patients, it may be used to support scalp health and hair growth as part of a broader treatment plan. It can also be discussed alongside other hair loss treatments or after a hair transplant, depending on the individual.

The treatment is non-invasive and simple, but it is not suitable for every type of hair loss. At Atlantis Medical, Dr Vikram Jayaprakash first assesses the cause and pattern of thinning before recommending whether LLLT has a place in your plan.

Finasteride and minoxidil are not enough, and it is not because they do not work.

Hair loss treatment is not one decision. It is a structure, and it needs four legs at once.

This is Dr. Ted Milne's analogy and it is the clearest framing anyone has put on long term hair loss management. Take a leg off a table and it wobbles. Take two off and it goes over.

Leg 1. Block the hormone. A 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, finasteride or dutasteride, reducing testosterone conversion to DHT. The most durable leg over time.

Leg 2. Stimulate the follicle. Minoxidil and the regenerative therapies. Strong early. Across the trials, pure stimulation starts declining around 78 weeks, which is the clearest sign this leg was never built to stand alone.

Leg 3. Control the inflammation. The leg almost nobody is on. A 1985 study found inflammatory activity in the scalp biopsies of 40 percent of men with male pattern hair loss. Four decades later most plans still ignore it. Scalp hygiene, washing more often not less, rotating medicated shampoos, vitamin D, zinc, curcumin, low level laser. Most natural remedies people use instead of medication, rosemary oil included, are working on this leg. Supportive, not a substitute.

Leg 4. Replace what is gone. Surgery fills the pothole. It does not stop the next pothole. Last leg, not first, and not at all while the scalp is inflamed.

At five years, 64 percent of men on finasteride were still stable. One in three were not.

Count your legs.

Everyone's asking about rosemary oil and onion juice for hair loss.

Here's what they're actually doing to your scalp.
Natural remedies like rosemary oil support the inflammatory side of hair loss, but they won't stop or reverse it on their own.

If this helped, save it.
I cover the full breakdown of natural hair loss remedies in the video linked in my bio.

2700 GRAFTS | MALE FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT

This patient came to Atlantis Medical with significant thinning across the frontal scalp and hairline.

A 2700 graft FUE hair transplant was performed to rebuild coverage in these areas while working with the hair that remained.

For this patient, the aim was not to create an unusually low or dense hairline. The focus was on a design that suited his age, existing hair and available donor supply.

The after image shows his individual result at the time of photography.

Procedure performed at Atlantis Medical by Dr Vikram Jayaprakash, MED0001926843.

Stress can trigger increased hair shedding, which may show up as more hair on your pillow, in the shower or when brushing.

It does not directly cause male or female pattern hair loss. However, if pattern hair loss is already present, ongoing stress may make the changes become noticeable sooner.

Persistent or sudden shedding should be properly assessed to rule out other causes.

A normal ferritin result does not mean your ferritin is normal for your hair. "Normal" for general health is not the same as optimal for hair.

1. Ferritin. Labs call 15 fine. For hair, I want 60 to 70.
2. Full thyroid panel. Not just TSH. Ask for T3, T4 and antibodies.
3. Androgen panel. DHEA and free testosterone. Can flag PCOS.
4. Vitamin D. Underrated through an Australian winter, and one of the easier things to correct.

Ask for the number, not "is it normal".
