Here’s just a normal still photo of a brow lamination I did a few months ago…

I thought this week I’d take it back to basics on social media. Back when you could just post a still photo, it would get heaps of traction, and we didn’t feel like we had to constantly reinvent the wheel to keep people interested 😂

Do I have 7 other banked-up carousels on Canva ready to go? Yes.

Am I choosing to post a normal brow photo instead? Also yes 😂

Things I stopped doing in my business that completely changed the way I work 👀

When I first started my business, I thought being a “good business owner” meant doing everything. Saying yes to everything, offering every service, trying to please everyone, constantly being available and doing things just because that’s how I’d always done them.

But as Exalted has grown, I’ve realised that sometimes growing your business actually means doing LESS. (In some areas)

I’ve stopped:
→ holding onto services that no longer make sense for my business
→ saying yes just because I feel bad saying no
→ trying to cater to absolutely everyone
→ doing things the “traditional” way just because that’s how they’ve always been done
→ making decisions based purely on what other businesses are doing
→ feeling like I have to be available 24/7
→ being scared to change something because I’ve already invested time/money into it

And every time I’ve made one of these changes, I’ve thought…
“Why the hell didn’t I do this sooner?” 😂

Your business is allowed to evolve as you do. What worked when you started might not work for the business you’re building now and thats okay!

Sometimes the biggest growth comes from knowing what to let go of xx

See those darker spots circled? When the area is dry, flaky or uneven in texture, the dye can grab more intensely in those areas, leaving little darker patches or spots that can make the finished brow look uneven.

How to avoid it:

• Keep the brow area hydrated between appointments
• Avoid over-exfoliating around your brows
• Don’t pick or scratch at dry skin
• Be mindful of strong skincare actives around the brow area
• Let your brow artist know if your skin is particularly dry or irritated

It’s not always the dye itself, unfortunately this client does experience dry skin and it gets worse with cooler weather. So she does get little dark spots like this, but that’s why consultations are necessary; as I was able to communicate the possibility of these little spots coming up.

The stain and shape still came out fire though 🔥
