Here's a little story for your Saturday night! As many of you know, our super apprentice Faith has just had carpal tunnel surgery 😓. As usual, we pulled together and been caring for her clients until she's back (on Monday!!!). But Fridays - well, any hairdresser knows that they're a well rehearsed dance of the same beautiful ladies having their weekly blowdries!!! So, in order to keep those golden clients smiling, I pulled mum out of retirement and back onto the floor🙌!! For the past 4 Fridays, Virginia has been showing up with her brush and her drier, primping, teasing, and spraying like only a stylist with 46 years of experience knows how!!!! But yesterday, whilst looking after our beautiful weekly client Pat, the penny dropped, and the realisation that she used to do Pat's hair 48 years ago made all our hearts go soft!!!! Mum used to work at Alan Hale's and did Pat's hair around the time that she herself visited Europe. Upon returning, Virginia was telling Pat all about a cafe in Rome that served the most amazing Cannelloni , whereupon Pat, being married to gorgeous Italian hubby, Gino, wrote the recipe out for Cannelloni and gave it to mum, who still has it today!!! What an unexpected and fantastic reunion, 48 years later, in an unexpected meeting of a client and hairdresser!!!
Thankyou Mum for your incredible help these past 4 weeks and for giving our clients blowdries that we could never replicate 🤣🙈. Oh dear!
You are amazing!!!
