Our recent Early Childhood Teacher retreat at Twin Waters had all of that, alongside meaningful professional learning and honest reflection.

Our teachers explored children’s behaviour, nature-based learning and music with specialist facilitators, then took time to reflect on their programs and the children in their care.

There were beautiful meals, plenty of laughter and opportunities to connect with colleagues beyond their own kindergarten rooms.

At Sesame Lane, we want our people to feel supported in their growth, connected to their team and valued for everything they bring.

This retreat was one way we put that care into action. 💛

The most treasured resources in our nursery were made right here at Sesame Lane Kippa Ring - Regency Street.
Our kindergarten children recently took on a very special project, designing and crafting ribbon sticks for our nursery babies.

Using curtain rings and beautiful fabrics sourced from a local charity textile shop, they carefully measured, cut, selected, and sewed each piece together with real purpose and pride.

These ribbon sticks now play a vital role in our nursery's RAMSR moments, supporting regulation, attachment, movement, sensory exploration, and relationships. 🫶

Not many early learning centres show off their bathrooms.
There's usually a reason for that... let's just say these areas aren't exactly camera-ready.

At Sesame Lane Kippa Ring - Regency Street , it's a different story.
Fairy lights, warm lamps and hanging plants turn even the nappy station into somewhere calm and considered.

If this is the standard for the space nobody sees, imagine the rest of the centre.

Three years in, and Laura still says every day at Sesame Lane Redcliffe is different.
Laura is a Lead Educator in Senior Kindy at Sesame Lane Redcliffe, with almost three years at Sesame Lane and eight years in early learning altogether.

Her favourite part of the day is simple: getting stuck into activities alongside the children and watching them grow and learn.

"We have lots of fun every day," Laura says.
"Watching our children grow, learn and discover everything is a real blessing."
