Our final Sculpt & Gua Sha workshop for the year is here! And we are feeling so thankful to all that have attended one of these special evenings, they have truly brought so much spark inspiration and connection, a continue reminder of why we are so passionate about fascia!

Join us for an intimate evening of facial sculpting, lymphatic drainage and Gua Sha, guided by Sara Wells - with Japanese tea, supper and beautiful conversation around the table.

Learn the foundations behind the ritual, understand your face from the inside out, and leave with your own Sara Wells Gua Sha to continue the practice at home.

A slow evening to learn, connect and care for yourself with intention.

Our last one for 2026 - limited places available.
Link is in our bio 🍃

ROOM FOR HIRE · KONDŌU

We have a beautiful treatment room becoming available within Kondōu and are looking for someone to make it their own.

The space would suit a range of practitioners, therapists, beauty professionals or independent businesses looking for a beautiful, calm environment to work from.

Ideally looking for 1–2 days per week minimum, with flexibility for the right person.

You’ll be joining a shared space with a small community of practitioners, in a beautifully considered environment designed to feel calm, warm and welcoming.

If you’re looking for a space to grow your practice or business, we’d love to hear from you.

Reach out for more information, pricing & availability.

A little glow, the Kondōu way.✨

We’re very happy to introduce Ere Perez to Kondōu.

A natural beauty house we’ve long admired for its considered approach to makeup, skin and beauty - and one that feels beautifully at home within the slower rituals of Kondōu.

To celebrate their arrival, throughout October, every facial booked at Kondōu will receive a complimentary little glow up to finish your ritual.

Think fresh skin, a little definition and that I just feel good kind of glow. 🌟

And as a little extra celebration, for every $100 spent on Ere Perez, we’ll gift you a Peach Gel Bronzing Drops to take home - our little way of saying thank you for welcoming Ere Perez into Kondōu.

Nothing overdone. Just a soft finishing touch before you step back into the world.

Come for your facial.
Stay for the glow.

Valid for any facial booked in October💫

At the heart of Kondōu is a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and its approach to wellbeing.🍃

A belief that wellness isn’t always something to achieve… sometimes it’s something we create space for.

Ma - the beauty of pause and space.

Yutori - spaciousness in life.

Shinrin-yoku - reconnecting with nature through the senses.

Omotenashi - thoughtful, intentional care.

Wabi-sabi - finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence.

These philosophies have shaped Kondōu - our treatments, our rituals, our approach to touch, silence, nature and the senses.

A reminder that sometimes, restoration begins with simply slowing down enough to be.

Pause. Rest. Restore.

A question I’m often asked: why do you work inside the mouth?

Because the lower face is more connected than we often realise.

Have you noticed your lower face can feel different by the end of the day?

The jaw feels tighter.
The corners of the mouth feel heavier.
The folds around the mouth seem deeper.
The jawline feels less defined.

These things aren’t always separate.

The muscles and connective tissues of the lower face are deeply interconnected - from the cheek and mouth corner, through the jaw, and into the areas where we begin to see early heaviness and jowling.

And this is where intraoral work becomes so interesting.

Inside the mouth, we can access structures that are much harder to reach from the outside.

One area I work with often is the modiolus - a dense meeting point around the corner of the mouth where several facial muscles converge.

It can become an area of significant tension, particularly alongside habitual jaw clenching, facial expression and the way we hold tension throughout the day.

From the outside, we’re working through layers of skin and tissue to reach the muscles beneath.

From inside the mouth, there is a much more direct relationship with the deeper muscular structures.

Same area. Different access.

For me, intraoral work isn’t about forcing, pulling or changing the face.

It’s about understanding the anatomy beneath the surface and working with the deeper structures to create space, soften tension and support the natural movement of the face.

This is a big part of why Buccal has become such an important part of my facial work at Kondōu.

We’re so happy to welcome Claire back into our Kondōu family ✨🤍🌼

Claire holds a special place in our story, having worked alongside our founder, Sara, back in 2021 when Sara was first beginning the business, Sara Wells Skin… before it eventually evolved into Kondōu.

So much has unfolded since those early days, and it feels incredibly special to have Claire return and join us once again, this time at Kondōu.

With over 12 years of experience in the healing arts, Claire has combined her knowledge of remedial massage and shiatsu to develop her own signature style, with a focus on restoring balance throughout the body…

Her treatments bring together nurturing touch, considered pressure and deeper muscular work , creating space for the mind to quieten, tension to soften and the body to feel restored.

We now have health fund rebates available on Claire’s treatments.

Welcome back, Claire. We’re so glad you’re here.

A little note from us 🤍

From 1 October, we’re making a small change to the way we take payment at Kondōu.

With changes to Australia’s card payment rules coming into effect, we’re choosing to encourage bank transfer, PayID or cash when settling your treatments.

These are simple, fee-free payment options for both you and us, meaning no additional transaction costs on either side.

And as a little thank you for choosing cash, we’ll take $10 off the full cost of your treatment when you pay this way.

We’ve chosen to make this change rather than build rising payment costs into our treatment prices. Our prices aren’t changing, this is simply a small adjustment to help keep Kondōu sustainable behind the scenes.

Thank you for supporting our little independent business and for continuing to choose Kondōu. We are so grateful to have a business that is responsible for many nervous systems and get to be an intimate part of their healing process🤍
