I caught a glimpse of the shop in a video today and just stopped.
Wow. This is mine.
I think when you’re in it every day, you forget. You see the jobs that need doing, the things you want to change, everything you’re still working towards.
But today I saw the place I’d dreamed about. The team, the community, all these things I’d hoped to create for so long. And here they are. Part of my everyday life.
It made me a bit teary, actually.
I still have so much I want to do. But I want to take a moment to appreciate this too.
Maybe have a look through your camera roll. Or just stop and look around you.
There might be something in your everyday life now that a younger version of you would be pretty amazed by.

Sometimes you just want to ask someone who knows skin, “Where do I even start?”
I think about this a lot. There is so much information out there, and even working in this industry, I can see how overwhelming it would be trying to work out what applies to you.
You’ve got a cupboard full of skincare, saved posts recommending completely different things, and another treatment popping up that apparently everyone needs.
It’s a lot. And I don’t want people to feel they have to figure it all out before they come to us.
So we’ve introduced Guidance Sessions as part of our consultation pathways at White Sage.
They’re for anyone who has been curious about working with us but isn’t quite ready to book, or would like some help understanding where to begin.
You fill out a form on our website, tell us a little about your skin and what you’d like help with, and myself or one of our beautiful skin therapists will get back to you personally with some guidance and a suggested starting point.
No pressure to book. You’re welcome to ask for help while you’re still deciding whether we’re the right fit.
One of my goals for White Sage has always been to make our expertise more accessible. We have so much knowledge within this team, and I want more people to benefit from it.
A big part of our work is helping you understand your skin. Why we’re recommending something, what we’re working towards, and what you can realistically expect.
And sometimes that means saying, “Let’s simplify this first.”
I love what advanced treatments can do when they’re appropriate. But good skin care still comes back to understanding how your skin functions and choosing things that serve a purpose for you. You don’t need everything you see online.
I’m really proud of this little addition to how we care for you. It gives us a chance to meet you where you’re at, even if that’s just a few questions and no idea what comes next.
Our Guidance Session form is now on the website. If you’ve been wanting to reach out, we’d love to hear from you.

This was always part of the dream.
When I first imagined White Sage, I pictured a space where people could come together. To care for themselves, learn something meaningful and feel connected to the people around them.
A place for skin, certainly, but also for everything you’ve seen slowly become part of what we do here.
After hosting a couple of beautiful, successful classes, I’m so excited to nurture this part of White Sage further. And with the wonderful team I now have around me, I finally have the space to give it the attention it deserves.
I feel we need this more than ever. Opportunities to step out of our busy lives, come back to ourselves and learn how to care for ourselves with a little more understanding. To spend time together, in person.
So, we’d love to hear from instructors, practitioners and facilitators looking for somewhere beautiful to host their work.
Yoga, mat Pilates, breathwork, sound baths, health and wellbeing workshops, educational courses and thoughtful gatherings. Whether you’re planning a one-off experience or looking for a regular home for your classes, we’re open to a conversation.
This next chapter means so much to me. It’s something I’ve held in mind from the very beginning, and seeing it come to life feels pretty special.
If you can picture your people gathering here, send me a message or email [email protected] for our space hire guide.

“I’m not wearing makeup today.”
When a client says this during a check-in, we know we’re working towards the right goal.
Not because there’s anything wrong with makeup. Makeup is beautiful and fun. We just want it to feel like a choice, rather than something you need before you can leave the house.
At White Sage, we work with you to help your skin look and feel healthier, so you can feel comfortable bare faced or wearing only a little coverage if that’s what you want.
That takes more than one good facial. We look at how your skin is functioning, build a plan around what it needs, and give it time. We use skin science to guide that work, rather than chasing the latest trend or promising a quick fix.
And when inflammation is persistent or more complex, we look beyond the treatment room. That may mean working alongside on of our naturopaths or referring you to a medical practitioner for further assessment where appropriate. Your skin can be influenced by many things, and you deserve care that takes the whole picture seriously.
So yes, we love seeing your skin improve. But hearing you say, “I’m not wearing makeup today” with a smile on your face? That’s the part that stays with us!

This one means so much to us.
White Sage has received the 2026 Phorest Client Experience Award again this year. To receive it, a clinic needs at least 60 client reviews and an average rating of four stars or higher across 12 months. A whole year of people taking the time to tell us how it felt to be here.
When you choose to visit us, you’re becoming part of something more than your skin transformation. We care about your skin, of course, but we care just as much about the person living in it.
We want to hear about the engagement, the baby news, the new job. We want you to feel comfortable telling us when life has been a lot lately, too. We want you to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone who knows you, and to walk through our doors feeling like we’re genuinely glad you’re here. Because we are.
To my team, I am so proud of you. The women I get to do my working life with are some of the most phenomenal therapists I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. The standard you hold, the care you have for your clients and the pride you take in your craft are second to none. I feel very lucky to work alongside you.
You’re also making ideas I’ve carried for years feel possible. Because I know how deeply you care for the people who come through our doors, I’ve been able to make space to build some exciting things behind the scenes. It feels like we’re only just beginning, and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming.
White Sage is a beautiful looking place, but it’s the people in it who make it truly beautiful.
To our clients, thank you for being part of it, and for trusting us with so much more than your skin.

That “1,000 mg fish oil” capsule may contain only 300 mg of EPA and DHA.
I know. It’s exactly the sort of detail I wish more people knew before buying a supplement.
After several skin consultations last week, I found myself talking about essential fatty acids more than usual. They’re one part of supporting healthy skin, particularly how the barrier functions and holds onto moisture. But “take an omega” isn’t very helpful advice unless you know what you’re actually taking.
Here are three things worth knowing:
1. The big number on the bottle can be misleading. “1,000 mg fish oil” describes the amount of oil, not necessarily the amount of EPA and DHA. Check those two figures on the back label.
2. Flaxseed, chia and walnuts are lovely additions to your diet, but they contain a different form of omega-3 called ALA. Your body converts only a small amount of it into EPA and DHA.
3. Fish isn’t the only direct source. Oily fish provides EPA and DHA, while algae oil can be a fish-free option.
This is why we look at quality, freshness, sourcing and the actual contents per serve. We stock Nordic Naturals fish oil and SIMKA algae omega-3 in clinic, and can help you compare them if supplementation is right for you.
Save this for the next time you’re standing in front of the supplement shelf.
Even better come talk to our naturopaths about it 💕

The day before we opened the doors at Bathurst Street
Everything was ready. Almost.
The shelves were empty, the space was quiet, and my baby could still make his way up the stairs to inspect everything I was doing.
I look at this photo now and there’s so much in it that I didn’t know I’d one day miss.
Monty asleep on the rug (me definitely NOT asleep on the rug haha)
A brand new space waiting for its first clients.
That strange mix of excitement and nerves before you open the doors to something you’ve poured so much of yourself into.
So much has happened inside these walls since this photo was taken. White Sage has grown, changed and become more than I could have imagined that day.
But I think this might always be one of my favourite photos of it.
Before the appointments. Before the growth. Before all the beautiful people who would eventually walk through those doors.
Just me, my boy, and this big dream we were about to open. ❤️

Meet Maraya. The woman quietly keeping White Sage running like a well-oiled machine.
If you’ve visited White Sage over the past year, chances are you’ve already met our gorgeous Maraya.
Maraya came into White Sage nearly a year ago as our front of house superstar and, quite simply, she has been a game changer.
With a background as a professionally trained makeup artist, years spent working within the beauty industry AND certificates in accounting, she somehow has the perfect combination of beauty brain, people skills and an alarming ability to make numbers behave haha!
She is our queen of numbers, organisation and optimisation.
And I’ll say it… she had her work cut out for her when she arrived. 😂
But beyond everything she does, it’s who she is that makes her so special.
Her heart is genuinely in White Sage.
She cares about our clients. She cares about our team. She cares about the business. And the support she gives me personally as we continue to grow and evolve White Sage means more than she probably realises.
There are people who come into a business and do their job beautifully.
And then there are people who become part of its fabric.
Maraya is very much the latter.
Nearly one year of our gorgeous front of house queen, numbers woman, problem solver and all-round bloody legend.
We love you, Maraya. And White Sage is a much better place with you in it. 🤍
