It arrived at Salamanca Market for the first time yesterday, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts as you try it.

Does your fine hair feel flat or weighed down, even when you’re trying to care for it?

That was the question behind so many conversations at Salamanca yesterday.

Fine hair often doesn’t need more product. It needs the right kind of care and heavy products can leave finer hair feeling weighed down, rather than soft and full of movement.

That’s why I created Elevate — a gentle, soap-free, pH-balanced shampoo bar made specifically for fine hair.
Light, clean and designed to support body and movement without unnecessary weight.

It was a very cold day, too — I had one gorgeous customer even rubbing my hands to warm them. Those little moments stay with me. They’re part of what makes running LUMINUS so personal, and why I enjoy meeting and talking with my lovely customers so much.

The first of my new Sel Gris soaps, made with pineapple enzyme and a little orange powder for a gentle, natural polish.

She’s still resting on the rack in my studio, slowly settling into her mineral-rich base.

Salamanca was beautiful yesterday, and I got to quietly introduce two little LUMINUS firsts. 🤍

I brought South along for the very first time — just to see how it would go — and honestly, I was blown away. The scent was such a hit. Men and women were leaning in, asking what it was and telling me how clean and woodsy it smelled. That was a real moment.

I also put up my new LUMINUS banner, which felt like a small milestone of its own.

Good beard care should look after the skin underneath too.

That’s part of what I’ve been working on with a new, lightly scented beard oil called South, and I’m really pleased with how it’s come together.

It has the same beautiful skin care as Quiet and Anchor, but with a scent that’s a little woodsy and a little citrus, and very easy to like.

I’ll be taking the first bottles along to Salamanca this Saturday, so if you’re curious, come by and have a smell.

Oily roots and dry ends often show up together — and they can feel frustrating when you’re trying to care for your hair.
But they’re actually one of the most common combinations I see, especially as our hair changes with age.
Your scalp may still produce natural oils, while your lengths quietly ask for more nourishment and softness.
They’re not meant to behave the same — and they don’t need the same care.
It’s something I think about deeply when I formulate: supporting the scalp’s balance without stripping it, and giving the ends the calm, restorative care they deserve.

I’ve been a little quiet on our socials lately — I’ve spent the past 12 months deep in research, testing, and formulating behind the scenes.
