Last week we received a 1 star under a different name. We knew who it was, so we reached out to try to make it right.

Nothing back.

There was a time we’d have lost sleep over that. Honestly, we don’t anymore, and we think more people are starting to see it too.

So many 1 star reviews come from people who never wanted a resolution in the first place. They don’t give an honest picture of a business.

More and more, reviews are being used as retaliation, and that needs to be talked about.

It still lands on real people, though. So many small business owners are quietly doing it tough right now, with a team relying on them, costs rising every month and a personal life to juggle.

Through all of that, they’re still trying to give every client their best.

So here’s our ask. If something isn’t right, talk to us. Tell your artist or send us an email, because we will always want the chance to make it right.

And if we got it right, please tell people that too. It means more than you know.

Tell your artist! Often things you are not happy about can be fixed there & then like dye/ tint to dark! If you don’t feel comfortable send us an email, because we will always want the chance to make it right.

Let’s talk about it…

Right now, everything online has to be perfect. The perfect grid. The perfect aesthetic. The perfect Pinterest-worthy feed that’s supposed to prove you’ve made it.

And now with AI, perfect is easier than ever to fake. We’re literally scrolling and can’t tell what’s real anymore. Honestly? That’s a little sad.

If anything, it’s made showing up authentically matter more than ever. Because people don’t want perfect. They want real.

And real isn’t perfect. Real is a busy salon, a full appointment book, happy clients walking out the door, and a team that shows up as themselves. It’s not always pretty, and it’s not always on-trend, but it’s honest. And that’s worth more than any perfect grid.
