This is a scary thing to say out loud especially when I know deep down I really mean it this time.
To all my wonderful brides. Thank you for all that you have shared with me. What a privilege it is to experience the most important day of your life with me.
I am so honoured to be a part of it and know I have made many meaningful friends.
I’m not sure what the future holds but here I will continue to educate in Asian makeup for my hooded and monolid eye girlies and share my expertise as a Vietnamese/Australian makeup artist.
Slide into my DMs and give me a pep talk. I may need it! 🥹

“Everyday makeup” sounds simple… until your eyeliner takes three attempts and you’re already running late 😅
If you’re an Asian woman with hooded or monolid eyes, you might recognise this.
You follow every step, but the shadow disappears or the wing sits differently once you open your eyes.
Placement needs to work with YOUR eyes. Asian women don’t all have the same features, and even your two eyes may need slightly different placement. If you have one monolid and one hooded eye IYKYK 👀
Next time, try mapping your eye makeup with your eyes open and relaxed. Don’t try to rush the process. If you don’t have time it’s probably best to put the liquid eyeliner down and save it for another day.
Chances are if you’re running late ⏰ then you’ll be even more late.
If you have also followed makeup tutorials and realised that when you tried it on your own features it turned out completely wrong. It is likely that it didn’t suit your hooded or monolid features because the person sharing their techniques had way more eyelid space than you.
For all the women who have experienced eyeliner and mascara transfer by midday I want to hear from you in the comments ⬇️
Because I definitely have been there before and I just accepted it until I discovered Asian beauty brands made for Asian features.
Save this for your next makeup morning to make your life a whole lot easier 🖤
And FOLLOW Hong Le for practical lessons that help you understand your features and build an everyday routine you feel good in.
Also I would love for you to share this with your Asian sister who needs help because panda 🐼 eyes is not a vibe in 2026
This is a reminder to also post your bts if you working.
Real people want to see into your life and what you’re all about so stop hiding behind your beautiful clients. We want to see YOU!
Share your thoughts 💭 Share your recipes. Share your unpopular opinion. Be brave and tell people what you’re really thinking. Being neutral is boring 🥱
Tell me honestly do you guys hide behind your work? I know you do 😏
Also let me know if you want me to show you how I created this reels. Just comment “REELS” and I’ll do a tutorial for you x
Who is guilty of this?! I know many of you forget to film the content. Or run out of phone storage even if you’ve paid for iCloud storage.
I mean does anyone know where the storage goes? Coz I bought a 1T iPhone 17 Pro Max in May and I’ve already maxxed it out.
If you forget to film or you start filming something but you don’t get the final look I want to see you in the comments ⬇️
I’ve been so guilty of this myself.
This is a reminder that it is ok hahaha 😝
But please don’t leave your unedited drafts unpublished because people deserve to see it. You never know when something takes off 🚀
If you’re overwhelmed with content creation and struggle to stay motivated to post content then this message is for you.
As makeup artists it is not enough to be talented. We have to be so much more as annoying as that sounds.
The reality of our industry is that for people to discover our work we have to be seen doing the work.
So when you don’t make it a priority to post content online then you’re literally invisible online.
So when you see someone getting opportunities that you know is meant for you it’s because they are doing something you are not. Posting content!
I’ve spent years trying to figure it out and of course naturally have found easier ways to create content that gets saved, shared and reposted.
I would say I am not the most talented at my craft but I know how to speak to my people in a way that makes them feel seen and heard.
So if you’re hiding behind your craft and posting beautiful content of your brides or models then I would love for you to book a content call with me.
Content creation is a full time job in itself so navigating that plus being the best makeup artist you can be is a juggling act on top of admin that falls on your shoulders. And don’t get me started on the mental load of motherhood.
So comment “COACH” and book in a content call with me so I can break it down and make life easier for you.
I have 2 spaces available this week and would love to share how I went from 5k to 77k followers 🔥
Happy 8th & 4th Birthday to my Favourite Girls Rose and Ariel 💕🥳
Mummy and Daddy love you unconditionally ❤️
You have changed our lives for the better and we can’t wait to see you grow (but please not too fast) but we can do with a little less sass 🤣
May luck, happiness, health and love always find you because that is all you need in life.
To many beautiful blessings and birthdays together. Sisters are soulmates and my hope is that you always hold each other’s hands through life together. 🎉😭😘🥰
Love Mummy and Daddy Tu
This one is for all my Asian Girlies with one Monolid Eye 👁️
I see you and I feel you ❤️
Eyelid Taping honey Lily Nigen for her sister’s wedding and the results were incredible.
I stacked 2 tapes together to give more lift and symmetry. Lily only needed it on her right eye because she already has a prominent eyelid crease on her left eye 👀
So if you have uneven eyelids this is the solution to all your problems.
What do you think of her final look? Can you tell the difference?
Comment below if you have one monolid eye and follow me for more Asian makeup techniques 🫶🏼
If your eyeliner looks perfect in the morning but has transferred onto your lids by noon, I see you 🐼👀
This is so common with hooded eyes. When your eyes are open, your lid can touch the area where you’ve applied eyeliner. If the liner is still a little wet or hasn’t dried down properly, it can transfer.
A few things I do to help:
✨ Give the eyeliner time to dry before fully opening your eyes.
✨ Set it with a matching eyeshadow, or try an eyeliner sealant.
✨ Use a lighter hand with eyeliner and mascara. Applying too much product or working too roughly can make transfer worse.
✨ Eyelid tape is another option if you want to adjust how the lid sits.
In this reel, I’m applying eyelid tape to Nancy’s hooded eyes through my Meta glasses so you can see the placement up close 🤓 Watch until the end for her reaction!
Follow me for more Asian makeup tips for hooded and monolid eyes. And if you want the eyelid tape I use on Nancy, comment NANCY 👇
