Things people have told me I can do, but I absolutely will not be doing now that I “work from home”
• Working while my kids are home. Absolutely not. The last thing you or I want is to have my toddler bashing on my door because they know I’m inside 🤣🫣
• Slow cooking my dinner, or cooking dinner during a cancellation. Come and have a fresh facial, but also smell my roast beef when you open the door 🫠 No thanks.
• Fold my husbands work clothes during quiet times. I’m disciplined, this isn’t a hobby, it’s my business of 7 years. Work time is work time, I’ll educate myself, follow up with clients or do book work if I have a quiet hour.
• Drop my prices to book more people in. In an ideal world, absolutely! But I still have bills unfortunately, and some are really big. I have some of the best brands and devices in our industry, plus I have created the most beautiful, luxurious “home salon” and that cost $$ too. Like allot. You get what you pay for 🥰 and shes bloody beautiful. (Im also very heavily booked so that wouldn’t work anyway 🤣)

Tomorrow is my first day in my new salon at home.
Tomorrow is the first day I won’t be working in my commercial space in the C*D.
Tomorrow is the first time I won’t leave the house to go to work (after I drop my kids off at school of course).
Tomorrow is the first day of a whole new part of my life, and I’ve cried a few times today.
I feel like the new girl starting at a new job, although I’ll be the only one 🤣
I’m also relieved that the responsibility and pressure on my shoulders is gone. Running and owning a seeviced based business with staff is not for the faint hearted.
I’m excited for tomorrow!
But the last 7 years have been allot - two babies, owning a business through COVID, growing to 7 team members at one time and now economy changes; I’ve made this change to bring some calm to my chaos along with other things.
My brain feels like it has the space it needs again, to focus on my skin clients that deserve my undivided attention.
Thank you to everyone that has stuck around and supported me through these changes. My clients, family and friends have been my biggest cheerleaders and I’m SO beyond grateful for your kind words, gentle nudges, and a fully booked calendar.
I can’t wait to see you all 💖💖
I love that my clients just make themselves at home in my space, like a pretty little trinket table for all of the things they won’t need while they treat themselves.
Temporarily separating themselves from the world around them just for a minute, and it just waits patiently to be picked up again so life can continue.
Today’s table was extra pretty. Especially when it belonged to my best friend 🥰😍
