A secure upstyle starts with a secure foundation
Imagine thick, heavy hair, hours of dancing and moving your head around… your hairstyle needs a foundation that can handle it!
A regular hair tie alone won’t always give you the support you need. This is why I teach my students to create a hair bungee using an elastic and two bobby pins. It helps anchor the ponytail firmly so your upstyle stays supported instead of becoming loose and floppy
So proud of my student’s FIRST bungee during our in-person 1:1 lesson! Getting your hands around it while keeping hold of all that hair can feel so awkward at first, and she did so well

“I’ll just offer curls” is how so many makeup artists start adding hair
And it makes sense, it seems like the easy add-on
But curls aren’t the hard part. The hair is. Frizzy, fine, thick, humid-morning hair doesn’t care that you only offered “simple curls.”
