You don’t need another treatment chosen because it’s trending.

You need someone to understand your skin, restore what isn’t functioning well, and create a plan that actually makes sense for you.

That’s why I created The Skin Boss Method™.

My approach follows four intentional stages:

01 | Understand
We look beyond what is visible—your skin history, current routine, previous treatments, lifestyle, hormones, gut health and the factors that may be influencing your skin.

02 | Restore
Before asking your skin to change, we make sure it’s supported enough to respond. This may mean repairing an impaired barrier, calming inflammation, simplifying your routine or addressing relevant internal factors.

03 | Transform
Once the foundations are in place, we introduce a personalised treatment plan designed around what your skin needs—not trends, quick fixes or a one-size-fits-all protocol.

04 | Maintain
Healthy skin isn’t created in one appointment. Your plan evolves as your skin does, with ongoing education, professional care and a long-term strategy to protect your results.

This is why two clients with the same concern may receive completely different recommendations.

Because I’m not here to simply treat what I can see.

I want to understand why your skin is behaving the way it is—and help you create lasting change.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start properly understanding your skin, begin with the Skin Reset.

Which one are you guilty of? 1, 2, 3, 4 or all of the above?🤭

Your skin might not be “purging”—it might be inflamed.

I see this often when prescription tretinoin and azelaic acid are introduced together for acne.

Tretinoin speeds up skin-cell turnover, while azelaic acid helps target congestion and inflammation. Both can be useful, but both can also cause irritation—especially when the skin is sensitive or the barrier is already impaired.

Watch for:
• Burning or stinging
• Persistent redness or heat
• Tight, shiny or flaky skin
• Moisturiser suddenly stinging
• Increased sensitivity
• Breakouts looking angrier and taking longer to heal
These aren’t signs that you need to “push through” or that the prescription is working harder.

When your barrier becomes impaired, it loses water more easily and becomes less effective at protecting your skin from irritants. This can create more inflammation—and inflamed skin is much harder to clear.

Your barrier is the foundation of healthy skin. If it isn’t functioning properly, continuing to push strong ingredients can keep you stuck in a cycle of irritation, sensitivity and breakouts.

You don’t need to suffer through angry skin to achieve results.

If tretinoin and azelaic acid have left you unsure whether your skin is purging or struggling, book a Skin Reset consultation. We’ll assess what your skin is showing us and create a plan focused on restoring its health—not simply pushing it harder.
Always speak with your prescribing practitioner before changing or stopping prescription treatment.

Four weeks between these photos.

When this client first came to me, her skin was inflamed, reactive and struggling after using tretinoin. In an attempt to repair the dryness and irritation, she had also been applying heavy barrier creams—which had left her skin feeling increasingly congested.

At this stage, her skin didn’t need another strong active or aggressive acne treatment. It needed us to take a step back.

We simplified her routine, changed her home care to Synergie Skin and completed a series of LED treatments to help calm the inflammation and support the repair process.

In just four weeks, you can already see significantly less redness, fewer active breakouts and a much calmer overall skin response.

We’re not at the end of her journey, but we now have healthier, more resilient skin to work with—and that has to come before we start focusing on congestion, marks or scarring.

Tretinoin isn’t inherently “bad”, but it isn’t right for every skin at every stage. If your acne routine is leaving your skin red, tight, burning or more inflamed, pushing through may not be the answer.

If this feels like your skin, book a Skin Reset consultation via the link in my bio. We’ll look at what you’re currently using, what your skin is telling us and where to begin.

A new home for Skin Boss Dermal Aesthetics is taking shape.

This has been part of the bigger vision for a long time—a space that feels completely aligned with the way I want you to experience your skin journey.

There is still plenty happening behind the scenes, but seeing the plans, colours and finishes begin to come together is making it all feel very real.

A new space. A fresh chapter. The same personalised approach to understanding and transforming your skin.

I can’t wait to show you more.

Any guesses where the new Skin Boss home might be?
