Here it is. The post I’ve been avoiding. The one I’ve filmed countless times but can’t quite get the words out.

It’s almost my last day at LUME as we know it. And honestly I have no idea what the future looks like.

What i do know is that I’m about to spend a lot of time with my little Lola Jean 🤍

Being in the space right now feels strange - like there’s a quiet countdown happening. Okay maybe not so quiet, Dyl our barista next door yelled “TWO MORE DAYS!” when I went in for my coffee this morning.

It’s hard not to feel sad when I think about all the memories held here. The beautiful ones and to the not so beautiful ones too. Lolly’s first crawl AND steps were taken within these green walls, with clients watching, cheering her on. LUME was more than a salon - this place hosted therapy sessions, book clubs, interviews preps, it saw trips planned and stories shared, tears shed, and countless naps. How beautiful is that?

With that said, I’m taking a little breather. My mat leave if you will. I don’t know what the future holds but I’m looking forward to what’s next. When I am back though, you’ll know. If you want to hear from me directly just send a little dm and I’ll reach out.
