I love exploring new places via morning jogs. This was my recent trip to chilly Melbourne (St Kilda) for a conference. I also went to see the beautiful kimono exhibition at NGV. The conference dinner at Marvel Stadium was great fun too.

Hello, Mr Rhino! (Females lack horns, so I’m feeling safe to refer to you as male.) Hanging out on my son’s bedroom window.

Festive season and some time off work inspires me to make nice food! I enjoyed using my new (gift to myself) mixer. Not only is it excellent at whisking and whipping (for the perfect pav), but it melts chocolate and butter! No more messy stoves or microwaves! It’s also become a bit of a tradition to make a traditional (with a twist) Christmas fruit cake. I topped it with vintage decorations (ie my mum used them for her cakes when I was little). Did you enjoy time cooking this Christmas?

Christmas Hoya. I put a cutting in a small pot with the plan to repot to a bigger container soon after. That may have been over a year ago, but my Hoya is happily crawling around the deck and flowering beautifully too!
