Your face at 40 was never supposed to look exactly as it did at 25.
And that is not a flaw.
Ageing involves multiple layers of the face. Skin changes, fat compartments evolve, bone structure gradually remodels and years of facial movement leave their own unique story.
It is also why looking at one line, fold or feature in isolation rarely tells the whole story.
At Eternal Aesthetics, the conversation starts with understanding your anatomy and what is changing, without suggesting that normal ageing is something that needs to be corrected.
You can be curious about aesthetic medicine and still appreciate the face you are ageing into.

A little reminder from Eternal Aesthetics: you do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you want.
You can arrive with a concern. A question. Something you have noticed changing. Or simply curiosity about what options exist.
That is what the consultation is there for.
We can talk through your skin, facial anatomy, preferences and expectations before discussing whether anything may be appropriate for you.
Sometimes the best place to start really is just a conversation.

PSA: if you have a birthday, wedding, holiday or big event coming up, book your consultation with plenty of time to plan.
During your consultation, Emily can discuss the options that may be appropriate for you, including potential side effects such as temporary redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness, expected onset and the time that may be needed before changes are seen.
Everyone responds differently, so there is no one-size-fits-all timeline.
Tell Emily about any upcoming events during your consultation so timing, suitability, risks and expectations can all form part of the conversation.

Your winter skincare routine does not automatically get invited into spring.
As the weather changes, you might notice your skin feeling a little different too. Perhaps the moisturiser you loved in July suddenly feels too rich, congestion is appearing more often, or increased time outdoors has you thinking more about sun protection and pigmentation.
That does not necessarily mean your entire routine needs an overhaul.
Sometimes a seasonal skin reset is simply about looking at what you are currently using, what is still serving your skin and where small adjustments may make more sense.
Spring is a great opportunity to check in with your skin rather than following the same routine on autopilot.
Book a consultation at Eternal Aesthetics to discuss your skin, current routine and individual concerns.

Living a low cortisol life, or at least trying to.
More rest. More time outside. Better boundaries. Moving your body because it feels good. Prioritising sleep. Making time for the people you love. Creating little pockets of calm in a busy week.
Stress is a normal part of life, and the goal is not to eliminate it completely. For me, it is about being more conscious of the habits and routines that support my overall wellbeing, both inside and outside the clinic.
Because looking after yourself does not always need to be complicated. Sometimes it is simply choosing a little more slow in a very busy world.

What can this actually achieve for me?
It is one of the most important questions you can bring into an aesthetic consultation.
Social media can make aesthetic medicine look incredibly straightforward, but there is a lot more happening behind every recommendation. Your anatomy is individual. Your starting point is individual. The way your body responds is individual too.
Sometimes the most appropriate recommendation may be different from what you originally had in mind. Sometimes it may mean taking a more gradual approach. And sometimes it may mean deciding not to proceed at all.
My role is not to promise a particular outcome. It is to give you clear information about the options available, potential risks and limitations, and help you make an informed decision based on your individual circumstances.
Realistic expectations are part of good aesthetic care.

There is always more to learn, and in aesthetic medicine, I believe there should be.
Ongoing education is a huge part of how I approach my role as a Registered Nurse. From anatomy and skin to patient suitability, clinical governance and the evolving research within aesthetic medicine, continuing to learn allows me to keep questioning, refining and developing the way I practise.
For me, professional development is not about collecting certificates. It is about bringing that knowledge back into the clinic and using it to support considered conversations, informed decision-making and individualised care.
I’ll always be a student of this industry, no matter how many years I spend in it. 🤍

The one product we want seeing a lot more of your face as the weather warms up.
The Skincare Company SPF50 Dry Touch is a lightweight, fragrance-free sunscreen formulated with broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. The dry-touch finish makes it an easy addition to a morning routine, particularly if you prefer an SPF that does not feel overly heavy on the skin.
And yes, SPF belongs in the routine beyond beach days and summer holidays.
Need help finding an SPF that suits your skin? Ask us at your next appointment.

Emily, off duty.
A little weekend recap before another week at Eternal Aesthetics.
Slow mornings, good coffee, a couple of well-earned sleep ins and some time away from clinic mode.
Now rested, reset and ready for another week of consultations, skin conversations and seeing all of you in clinic.
Sometimes the weekend agenda really does need to be this simple.
