Day 2 of the Breast, Chest & Oncology Academy 🤎

What an insightful session with The Mastectomy Guide.

This week we explored the Biopsychosocial Spiritual Model, looking at breast and chest care through a whole-person lens - not just the physical body, but also the emotional, social and spiritual experiences that can shape healing and treatment.

We also unpacked MG’s values and approach: witnessing each person’s journey, listening with intention, using mindful touch, choosing evidence-informed techniques, and creating care that feels safe, respectful and supportive.

The practical component was such a highlight too, including self breast massage. It was a beautiful reminder that breast and chest massage doesn’t always need to be clinical - it can also feel grounding, nurturing and genuinely relaxing, even when there’s no clinical reason for treatment.

My biggest takeaway this week was the power of intention - how we enter the space, the language we use, how we gain consent, and how important it is to truly see and hear the person in front of us.

Loving how much this training is expanding the way I think about breast, chest and oncology care 🤎✨

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀 and while this little pup has absolutely committed to the campaign, the message behind it matters.

Know your normal.
Check your breasts/chest regularly.
Or make it fun and get someone else to do it for you!

Look for changes in size, shape, skin texture, ni***es, unusual swelling, lumps or anything that simply feels different. And if something doesn’t feel right, please don’t put it off - get it checked.

Early detection matters. A quick check could genuinely make a huge difference.

And yes… apparently the official reminder this month is:

DAY 1 🤎 Breast, Chest & Oncology Massage Academy

This one feels pretty special.

After being awarded the scholarship for the intensive program, I decided I wanted to go a little deeper and transferred that opportunity into the 6-month Mentorship & Training Academy for Breast, Chest & Oncology Massage.

And yesterday, we officially kicked off Day 1 🥹

The academy is based in Canada, which means live training days are a very glamorous 3am start here in Australia 😂☕️

So over the next six months, you may notice my studio hours change slightly around training days. I want to make sure I can fully show up for this mentorship, while still giving every person who walks into my studio the time, care and energy they deserve.

There is SO much ahead of us, with each phase building on the one before:

✨ October — Foundations
Cancer care, lymphatic work, nervous system + symptom support.

✨ November — Surgery + Scar Care
Scar assessment, surgical recovery + breast and abdominal care.

✨ December — Integration
Bringing everything together into confident, practical treatment planning.

✨ January — Complex Care
Lymphoedema, PMPS, axillary web syndrome, seroma, capsular contracture, revisions + explants.

✨ February — Referral Networks
Collaborative care, professional connections + stronger referral pathways.

✨ March — Completion
Bringing six months of learning, hands-on practice, mentorship + clinical development together.

For me, this is about so much more than adding another treatment to JDeez.

It’s about learning more.
Understanding more.
Practising more.
Connecting with people who work in this space.
And building the skills and confidence to support people through some incredibly vulnerable chapters of their lives - from surgery and scarring through to cancer treatment, recovery and beyond.

I’m going to document this journey as we go - the learning, the practice, the skills, the lightbulb moments, the challenges, the community and the growth.

And I’m excited to bring you all along with me 🤎

PAYMENT UPDATE — EFFECTIVE 1 OCTOBER 🤎

As JDeez Beauty continues to grow, I’m making a few small changes to payment options to keep things flexible for clients while managing increasing business costs.

ONLINE BOOKINGS

Deposits paid through the online booking link will continue as normal and will incur the required 1.99% treatment fee increase.

DIRECT / IN-STUDIO BOOKINGS

A non-refundable deposit is still required to secure your appointment.

Deposits paid via cash or bank transfer will not incur a fee.

FINAL PAYMENTS

My preferred methods for final payment are cash or bank transfer, helping avoid unnecessary processing fees.

If you choose to pay your remaining balance by card in studio, a 1.99% treatment fee increase will apply.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION

Your appointment is not confirmed until your non-refundable deposit has been received.

BOOKINGS WITHIN 24 HOURS

Bookings made within 24 hours of the appointment time require full payment upfront.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The existing 24-hour cancellation policy continues to apply.
