There are three main types of skin cancer: BCC, SCC and melanoma.

All skin cancers need to be taken seriously. Melanoma is particularly dangerous because, if it isn’t detected and treated early, it can spread to other parts of the body and become fatal.

🔎 B – Border: Irregular, uneven or poorly defined edges
🔎 C – Colour: Different colours or shades within the same spot
🔎 D – Diameter: Keep an eye on spots that are growing or larger than around 6 mm
🔎 E – Evolving: Any spot that is changing in size, shape, colour or symptoms

💜 What’s that purple dot on my lip?

That small purple or blue spot on the lip may be a vascular lesion, such as a venous lake — a collection of dilated superficial blood vessels that can commonly develop on the lips.

Our treatment process with Excel V+ ⚡

1️⃣ Assessment
Your clinician examines the lesion and determines whether vascular laser treatment is appropriate.

2️⃣ Excel V+ treatment
The laser delivers targeted energy to the unwanted blood vessel while aiming to minimise damage to the surrounding tissue.

3️⃣ After treatment
The area may temporarily look darker, swollen or slightly bruised as the treated vessel responds.

4️⃣ Healing
Over the following days to weeks, the treated vessel is gradually cleared by the body and the appearance of the spot may significantly improve.
