Crown Equine Solutions

Last week I introduced you all to Luna! Now, it’s time to learn more about her.

Swipe through to learn more about darling Luna and her shivers journey. From the assessment to the approach and the progress since.

This is one of the proudest stories of my career so far!🥰

If you told me that this was the same Luna I met back in 2025, I probably wouldn’t believe you!

This wonderful mare and her owner, Mandy, have been with me since I first started out. Luna was my very first complex case, and a very important learning curve. Watching these two progress since I first met them has been one of the proudest moments of my career.

Next week, I’ll be sharing more about how we tackled Luna’s Shivers journey together, and just how far these two have come.

Ps: Proud therapist moment! Can we also just appreciate how bloody amazing and committed Mandy Yeomans is to Luna.🥹

I’ve been a little quiet on here for the last week or two, and for good reason, I promise. I’ve been dealing with the loss of my darling Maverick. The very reason Crown Equine Solutions exists.

Earlier this year, when chatting to Australian Performance Horse Magazine, I described Crown Equine Solutions as a love letter to Maverick. I really don’t think I realised then just how much those words would come to mean.

This absolutely wonderful horse was the beginning of so much. He was the reason I fell in love with horses again, the reason I found my way into this industry, and the reason I had the courage to build something of my own.

Crown Equine Solutions will always be a part of his legacy, and I’m so grateful I get to keep building it in his memory.💚

These two💜

Violet the Wonder Pony and her mama Teah Hill have been such an incredibly important part of my journey, and gosh, am I thankful to be even a small part of theirs.

This is a simple analogy I often use with my clients to explain why consistency and repetition are so important when we’re trying to create lasting change.💚

Did you know that just because a wound has closed, it doesn’t mean the healing process is over?

In the early stages of wound healing, the body quickly lays down scar tissue. This is usually far less organised and less flexible than the healthy tissue it replaces.

The really interesting part?

Scar tissue doesn’t just stop changing after a few weeks or when the wound looks “healed”. It can continue remodelling for up to 12-18 months, gradually adapting to the loading and movement it’s exposed to.

This is a great reminder that healing is a journey, not a finish line. Giving your horse the right support, loading, and time can make a huge difference to how they recover.
