I picked “anyone who’s active” and I remember being pleased with it. Broad enough to feel safe, specific enough to feel like I’d finally decided.
It was neither. It describes a body - not what’s at stake for the person in it. So my referral partners still said “she’s great”, my menu didn’t change, and seven months later I had the same practice and a slightly better bio.
What’s yours describing - the body, or the stakes?
Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the whole story, including the seven questions I asked the second time.

I picked "anyone who's active" because it sounded like a niche. Seven months later I had exactly the same practice and a slightly better bio.
It describes a body. It doesn't say what's at stake for the person in it - and the stakes are the bit a referrer repeats and a client recognises.

The niche wasn’t in my numbers. I checked, twice.
Everyone told me to find it in my numbers. A year of bookings sorted by treatment type gave me four columns and no decision.
The list that worked had names on it - the ten I’d have kept if I could only keep ten - and every one of them was already in my book.
Who’d be on your ten?

Everyone told me the niche was in my numbers. I sorted twelve months of bookings by treatment type and came out knowing exactly nothing.
What worked was a list of names - the ten clients I'd have kept if I could only keep ten - and then checking whether they were already in my book. They were.
Who'd be on your ten?

If your position only lives in one of these six places, it isn't doing anything yet.
Comment CHOSEN and I'll send you the checklist.
Most therapists rewrite one line in their bio, feel better for a week, and nothing changes - because the bio was never carrying the weight alone.
A position has to show up in six places: bio, menu, booking page, content, referral sentence, and how you answer out loud.
Pick the weakest one tonight and fix that one thing.

Ask the physio down the road what they’d say about you. If they can’t finish the sentence, neither can your clients.
“She’s lovely, she’s really good” is a compliment and a dead end - nobody gets sent on the back of it.
Compare that to a sentence with a situation attached. Same therapist, completely different result.
You can’t hand someone that sentence if you haven’t decided it yourself.

One sentence with a situation attached moves people. A compliment doesn't.

70% of massage therapists quit within five years, and it's rarely a skills problem. None of these signs are about your hands.
Comment CHOSEN and I'll send you the checklist.
Your hands win the rebook.
Your position wins the first booking.
Most therapists only ever got trained for one of them.
