Hey, Bel here…..

People ask me what I use on my skin.

The answer surprises them because it isn’t twenty different products.

It’s consistency.

For well over 10 years, I’ve trusted Algologie and Fleur de Mer, both in the treatment room and at home.

I’m 50.

I’ve lived through stress, burnout, menopause, long work weeks and plenty of Queensland sun. I have Rosacea. I have thin skin. I had a lot of issues with pimples and acne when I was younger too.

My skin isn’t perfect, and I don’t expect it to be.

What I do want is healthy skin that feels comfortable, hydrated and cared for.

That’s exactly why these are the products I chose for Emjay.

I don’t stock or use products I wouldn’t happily put on my own face.

That’s always been my rule.

If you’ve ever wondered why my treatment products feel different, now you know.

No gimmicks.
No pressure.

Just products I’ve trusted on my own skin for years.

Scientifically formulated to deliver visible anti-ageing results.

Exquisitely designed to reflect the luxury and performance within.

Where advanced skincare science meets timeless elegance—because exceptional results deserve exceptional presentation.

After the kids get older.

After the mortgage settles down.

After his work becomes less stressful.

After Mum is okay.

After this busy patch.

After Christmas.

After next year.

Women can spend decades waiting for the part of life where it is finally their turn.

Then midlife arrives and the truth gets harder to ignore.

There was never going to be a perfect gap.

There was always going to be another person, another problem and another reason to wait.

The grief is not only about lost time.

It is about the woman underneath all the responsibility who never got enough room to become fully known.

She is still there.

She does not need to reinvent herself.

She needs to stop being placed last in her own life.

August 2026: Choose yourself first, then let something go

You've probably already said yes to something today before you'd worked out if you wanted to.

Two eclipses cross this month, one in Leo before dawn on the 13th (AEST), one in Pisces mid afternoon on the 28th. Eclipses tend to move things along, whether you feel ready or not.

The first eclipse opens something. Leo is the part of a woman that wants to be seen and take up space, and after years of putting herself last, this one asks a simple question. What would you choose if you stopped waiting for someone else to say it's okay first.

The second eclipse closes something. It clears a role you've outgrown, a version of yourself you no longer need, and it can bring tears you didn't plan for. Let them come. Grief and relief can look almost the same from the outside.

Underneath both sits Chiron in Ta**us, still working on the belief that ties your worth to what you do for everyone else. That belief won't loosen quietly. August gives it a nudge.

2026 carries the number 1 in numerology, a year of beginnings, and August lands as a 9 month, the number of endings. Beginning and ending in the same breath is what this month has been building toward.

Call it astrology, numerology, or plain timing. This is a month for starts and endings side by side, and both belong.

If something in your life is ending, let it. If something is beginning, you're allowed to want it.

If this speaks to you, feel free to save it for the day you need it back.

She remembers everyone.

The appointments. The birthdays. The food preferences. The forms. The medication. The thing someone mentioned three weeks ago and assumed she would remember.

And she does.

But ask her when she last had a check-up.

Ask her what she needs this week.

Ask her when somebody last remembered something important for her.

That is where the silence usually starts.

Women are often called organised when what they really are is carrying far too much information for far too many people.

And because they carry it well, nobody notices the weight.

Maybe she does not need another planner.

Maybe she needs somebody else to remember.

Made a pot of soup big enough to last three nights. Past me doing future me a quiet favour.

Half of looking after yourself in winter is making the next tired evening a little easier.

What is one thing you could set up now to make this week lighter?

Decision fatigue is real. Handing one choice back is triage, not laziness.

Jaw tight by 3 pm. Shoulders up near your ears. That low hum of tension you only notice when it finally drops.

By deep winter, a body that has been bracing since summer is holding a lot, and most women have stopped noticing they are doing it.

Five places midlife stress hides in the body, and what helps it let go.

Save this and check your shoulders right now.
