There’s always more to learn.
I make a conscious effort to dedicate time to ongoing education, training and industry conferences throughout the year.
Aesthetic medicine and skin treatments continue to evolve, and staying up to date allows me to continually refine my knowledge, techniques and approach to patient care.
For me, education didn’t stop when I finished studying — it’s something I continue to prioritise throughout my career.
Always learning, always refining.

Your cellular health stack.
Supporting healthy ageing isn’t about one single supplement or one quick fix.
It’s about understanding the different processes that support your cells over time, and how nutrition and supplementation may play a role alongside lifestyle, sleep, movement and stress management.
Omega-3
One of Grace’s favourites for its anti-inflammatory role, with benefits that can support overall health, including skin, hair and brain health.
Vitamin D3 + K2
These nutrients play an important role in supporting normal cellular function and healthy ageing.
Glycine + NAC
Together, these can support glutathione production — one of the body’s key antioxidants involved in reducing oxidative stress.
NAD+
NAD+ is important for cellular energy and repair, making it an important part of the conversation around overall cellular health.
There is no single supplement that determines how we age. The bigger picture still matters most — diet, movement, sleep, stress, mindset and consistency over time.

Why can the face sometimes look older after significant weight loss?
When weight is lost, the changes aren’t limited to the body. Changes in facial volume, particularly within the superficial fat compartments, can alter the support and fullness of the face.
Combine this with changes in skin quality, hydration, collagen and elastin — alongside the natural ageing process — and the face can sometimes appear more hollow or aged following significant or rapid weight loss.
It’s not simply about losing facial fat. It’s about understanding how volume, skin quality and facial structure work together.
If you’ve noticed changes in your face following weight loss, a consultation can help assess what may be contributing and discuss the options appropriate for you.

When we look at before and after images, it can be easy to focus only on the final difference.
But results like these are part of a much bigger journey.
Hair and scalp concerns can have many contributing factors, which is why understanding what may be happening first is important before deciding on an appropriate approach.
Changes can be gradual, and individual responses will vary. Treatment planning, consistency and ongoing review all play an important role along the way.
This patient’s images show their individual progress and should not be taken as an indication of the results another person may experience.

Can we influence how we age?
One of the topics I found really interesting at a recent conference was biological ageing — and how it can be influenced by more than simply the number of years we’ve been alive.
A few of the points discussed were the role of diet and gut health, chronic stress, mindset and our everyday lifestyle habits.
Diet & gut health
What we eat can influence inflammation and gut health. Aim for variety in your diet, including around 30 different plant foods each week, while limiting high-sugar foods.
Stress: good vs. chronic
Not all stress is the same. Chronic stress can negatively affect our health, while short, controlled periods of stress — such as exercise, sauna, cold exposure or fasting — can create a very different response in the body.
Mindset & cortisol
Our mental wellbeing matters too. A more positive mindset and healthy stress-management strategies can help reduce ongoing stress and its effects on the body.
There isn't one single habit that determines how we age. It's the combination of small, consistent choices over time that can help support our long-term health.
A slightly different topic from what I usually share here, but an interesting one from the conference that I wanted to pass on.
Save this carousel as a reminder that healthy ageing starts with what we do every day. 🤍

Masseters: what does this treatment actually do?
The masseters are the large muscles located along the sides of the jaw. They play an important role in chewing and can vary significantly in size and strength from person to person.
For some patients, larger or more prominent masseter muscles can contribute to a wider or more square appearance through the lower face.
Treatment may be considered to gradually reduce the bulk of these muscles, which can create a softer appearance through the jawline over time.
But facial shape isn't determined by muscle alone. Bone structure, soft tissue and overall facial proportions also need to be considered when deciding whether this approach is appropriate.
Every face is different, which is why assessment and careful treatment planning come first.

What have we neglected on our faces?
For years, a lot of attention has been placed on improving wrinkles in the upper face — particularly the forehead, frown and eye area.
But what about the lower face?
The muscles of the lower face play an important role in movement around the mouth, chin, jawline and jowl area. Some of these muscles create a downward pull, which can contribute to changes we notice as the face ages.
Just as we think about managing changes in the upper face over time, the lower face should also form part of a considered, long-term treatment plan.
It doesn’t mean everyone needs the same treatment. Understanding your individual facial movement, structure and concerns is important before deciding whether anything should be treated at all.
If the lower face is something you’ve never considered, it may be worth discussing at your next consultation.

Why do we layer treatments?
The face is made up of many different layers, and they all work together.
Skin, fat, muscle and underlying structure each contribute to how the face looks and changes over time. When we focus on only one layer, we may be addressing just one part of the overall concern.
This is why treatment planning can sometimes involve targeting different layers at different stages.
By taking a more considered, layered approach, each treatment can build on the next to support more balanced, natural-looking and longer-term results.
It’s not about doing everything at once. It’s about understanding what is contributing to the concern and creating a personalised plan around your individual needs.

Why we can’t talk about cosmetic medicine
There have been significant changes in recent years around how cosmetic medicine can be advertised in Australia.
These regulations affect what we can share online, including before and after images relating to certain cosmetic medicine treatments, terminology involving Schedule 4 medications on our website and even booking systems, and treatment content involving scheduled medications.
You may still see this type of content being shared elsewhere, but our priority is to communicate transparently while remaining within current advertising guidelines.
This can sometimes make it harder to show you exactly what we do and the results we achieve but it doesn’t mean those conversations can’t happen.
Where appropriate, before and after images may be discussed and shown during an in-clinic consultation, with patient consent.
We want you to feel informed about your options while ensuring the way we communicate about cosmetic medicine remains responsible and compliant.
