I think pretty much everyone falls into at least one of these categories 😂

**Acute:** Just started seeing you. Still apologizes for not shaving their legs.

**Subacute:** Comfortable enough to tell you about their divorce, bowel movements, and mother-in-law.

**Chronic:** Hasn't stretched since 2007, wants you to fix 30 years of dysfunction in 60 minutes, and says, "You can go deeper."

Hospice: the client that continually reschedules/cancels and is always in your book but you haven't actually put hands on them in months/years

**End-stage:** Walks in, takes one look at you, and says, "You look tired. Are YOU okay?"

Listen, Linda. I'm holding this entire practice together with caffeine, anatomical knowledge, and rapidly deteriorating sense of professionalism. 🤣

I work deep tissue, so most The treatment feels more like therapy not relaxation, but the last 10 minutes, I quiet them down and change the vibe to a very tranquil moment. When the treatment ends, just speaking feels odd.

One time I quietly left the room, I sorta tapped in a suggestive this is the end and went out quietly. 5 mins passed and suddenly I hear, are you done? 😆 🤣

Sometimes I say, "the end!"
Sometimes I say, "and that concludes today's session"
It all feels weird and I always giggle. 🤣
