One treatment, different skin priorities. ✨

Your skin's needs can change with the seasons, your environment and even your daily routine. That's why we love having treatment options that can be tailored to what your skin needs at the time.

Our Gold Needling Peel Infusion combines a stamping technique with an Ultraceuticals Professional Peel, selected following an assessment of your skin.

Rather than choosing a treatment based on trends, our team considers your skin history, current skincare routine, areas of concern and treatment suitability.

Whether you're interested in addressing dehydration, dullness or uneven skin tone, we'll discuss the available options, potential risks and what to expect during your consultation.

Summer has a way of sneaking up, and a few things are worth thinking about early if it's on your mind.

Laser hair removal works across a course of sessions rather than a single visit, so starting earlier in the year generally allows more time before summer arrives.

Warmer months can also affect how skin feels day to day, which is why this is a common time for people to revisit their routine or ask about texture and congestion.

More time outdoors usually means more cumulative sun exposure too, worth factoring into any conversation about your skin.

Summer is also a common time for a general check in, whether or not there's a specific concern in mind.

If you're planning ahead, a consultation is a good place to start.

At Whitsunday Cosmedics Skin Clinic, skin care starts with understanding what your skin actually needs.

From everyday concerns such as texture, pigmentation, redness and breakouts through to more complex skin concerns, our approach is centred around assessment, education and personalised treatment planning. With a range of laser, skin and medical aesthetic technologies available in clinic, recommendations are made based on your individual skin rather than a one size fits all approach.

Whether you are beginning your skin journey, maintaining your skin or looking for support with a particular concern, our team is here to help you understand your options and create a plan that makes sense for you.

Thinking about laser hair removal but not sure where to start? Here's what the process actually looks like.

Laser hair removal works by directing a specific wavelength of light at the pigment within the hair follicle.

A question we're often asked is why more than one session is needed. Hair grows in cycles, and at any given time, only a portion of hair is in an active growth phase. Laser can only interact with hair during this phase, which is why a course of sessions, spaced appropriately, is generally recommended as part of a treatment plan.

Skin tone, hair colour and hair thickness all influence how a treatment plan is approached. These factors are assessed individually during your consultation, so your plan is suited to your skin and your goals.

Common areas we see in clinic include legs, underarms, the bikini area, face and back, though every area is considered on an individual basis.

As a doctor led clinic, your consultation and history are reviewed with medical oversight from Dr Melissa McCann before any treatment plan is developed.

Pigmentation is one of the most common concerns we're asked about in clinic, and it's something almost everyone experiences in some form over the course of their life.

Pigmentation happens when melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour, is distributed unevenly across the skin. It can show up as small areas of freckling, broader patches, or a general unevenness in tone. It can be influenced by a number of factors, including UV exposure over time, hormonal changes, genetics, and previous skin injury or inflammation.

Living in a high UV environment like the Whitsundays means cumulative sun exposure is a common contributing factor for many of our patients. It's worth remembering that pigmentation is a normal response of the skin and not something that reflects how well a person has looked after themselves.

Because pigmentation can sit at different depths within the skin, and can present differently from person to person, an individual assessment is an important first step before discussing any options. Your doctor will look closely at your skin, ask about your history and goals, and talk through what may be relevant for your individual circumstances.

If pigmentation is something you've been thinking about, a consultation is the best place to start.

A closer look at what Candela VBeam may be considered for 👇

VBeam uses pulsed dye laser technology to target haemoglobin within selected blood vessels, making it relevant to a range of vascular skin concerns following assessment, including:

• Active inflammatory acne where vascular redness is present
• Post inflammatory erythema (PIE)
• Facial redness
• Rosacea related redness
• Visible capillaries
• Selected vascular birthmarks
• Redness associated with some scars
• Selected visible veins

These before and after images show real patient responses to treatment. Every vascular concern is different, so suitability, treatment settings and the number of sessions required will depend on individual assessment.

VBeam pricing:

Spot treatments from $99

Half face $275

Full face $550

Leg treatments from $350, depending on the size of the area being treated.

A new addition to our treatment menu has arrived.

Gold Needling Peel Infusion combines two elements in the one treatment: a stamping needling device and an Ultraceuticals Professional Peel delivered simultaneously into the skin.

What makes it particularly interesting is the ability to personalise the peel component. Following a skin assessment, the professional peel can be selected according to individual goals such as supporting hydration, brightness or overall skin quality.

So while the technology remains the same, the approach can be tailored to the skin in front of us.

Gold Needling Peel Infusion is now available in clinic. Contact our team to find out more or arrange a skin consultation.
