We're not here to sell you a bathroom full of products or make you feel like you've been doing it wrong. We're here for the deeper stuff. We're here to help you actually understand your skin, so you can stop guessing and start feeling confident in it.

Kate has been part of the Skin Wellness Academy team for nearly 10 months, and many of you will already know her as one of the warm faces welcoming you into the clinic. 🤍

With eight years of experience as a beauty therapist, Kate brings so much industry knowledge, care and understanding to our front-of-house team.

“I love the positive work environment at SWA, chatting with our clients and seeing them walk out of the treatment room feeling so confident.”

This year, Kate stepped out of the treatment room to build her reception and admin skills, although she already knows she’ll be ready to return after maternity leave. 🥰 With a little one on the way, it’s such an exciting chapter, and we’re so happy for her.

Outside of work, Kate loves family time, coast trips and staying active.

This weekend I was awarded Passion & Perseverance at the Women with Altitude Awards, and I want to be honest with you about how much this category means to me. 🤍

I moved back to Canberra with two young kids and a marriage that had just ended. I didn't have a client base, or any real proof this would work. I just didn't know what else to do except try.

For a long time I was doing everything myself: treatments, phone calls, cleaning, figuring out marketing late at night once the kids were finally asleep. I wasn't thinking about building something impressive. I was just trying to get through each week.

If I'm honest, most of that time felt more like quiet fear than perseverance. I got through it the same way I now guide every client through their own transformation: structure, education, consistency, and trust in the process, even when the outcome isn't visible yet.

You just keep turning up.

So this award feels less like something I achieved on my own, and more like a reflection of everyone who trusted me along the way.

Thank you for being part of it.

Gosh, it takes A LOT of effort and resilience to be standing here holding this trophy tonight.

And ironically, it’s for Passion & Perseverance.

I think I’ve finally found the culprit (passion) behind my intensity, operating at a million miles an hour and somehow, no matter what life throws at me, finding a way to make lemonade… and probably a whole feast to go with it too. 😂

Thank you to everyone who has supported me (you know who you are, the list would go for days!) along the way. On the best days, the in between days, and especially the days when I’m hiding somewhere crying and somehow you manage to find me, drag me back out and remind me to keep running towards my goals and living this life as fully as I possibly can.

Trust me, the experiences haven’t always been beautiful ones. But life is beautiful when you’re surrounded by love, joy and people who believe in you. With the support network I have around me, I genuinely feel like I can do anything.

I’m also incredibly lucky to have found my purpose and passion in transforming one skin at a time, helping people feel more confident in the skin they live in, and now empowering my team and having their backs so together we can transform so many more.

Because one person can create change, but together we can create an impact far greater than any of us could achieve alone.

And a huge congratulations to all the other finalists and winners tonight. We’ve all worked bloody hard to get here. So before we rush off towards the next goal, the next challenge or the next big thing, let’s actually stop for a moment and acknowledge how far we’ve come and be bloody proud of ourselves. ❤️

At just 16, Zoe has already been part of the Skin Wellness Academy team for almost two years and has grown into such a mature, professional and confident member of our front-of-house team. 🤍

Clients are often surprised when they find out her age because of how naturally she looks after people and carries herself in the clinic.

Outside of SWA and school, Zoe loves watching movies and relaxing after a long day. Looking ahead, she would love to live interstate and build a career she loves where she can help people.
