We did it. đź’š
Our goal for Missed in Motion 2026 was to raise $1,500 for The Missed Foundation.
Together, we raised an incredible $2,100 — 140% of our goal.
I am so incredibly grateful to every single person who donated, shared my posts, sent messages of support or simply stopped to learn a little more about why this cause matters so much.
For me, Missing Persons Week will always be deeply personal. My dad, Richard Wood, became a missing person in 2015, and his body has never been found.
Families of missing people live with an uncertainty that never really ends. The Missed Foundation provides something incredibly important — a voice, understanding, advocacy and support for families living with that unknown.
This week, every step, every kilometre and every conversation was for Dad, for every missing person, and for every family living with ambiguous loss. đź’š
$2,100 raised. A $1,500 goal absolutely smashed.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who helped make this possible. It means more to me than I can put into words.
And most importantly, we kept people talking about those who are missing.

Last year I had the privilege of taking part in Missed in Motion, raising funds for The Missed Foundation. đź’™
For me, this isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s personal.
In 2015, my dad, Richard Wood, became a missing person. We have never found his body, and more than a decade later, our family still can’t answer the one question we’ve all asked countless times:
Where is he?
Living with a missing loved one is a grief unlike any other. It’s known as ambiguous loss—grieving someone without knowing what happened, without certainty, and without the chance to truly say goodbye. Psychologists describe it as one of the most traumatic and difficult forms of grief to endure.
What many people don’t realise is that there is currently no government-funded specialist support in Australia for families living through this unique kind of loss.
That’s why The Missed Foundation is so important.
The foundation was created by Loren O’Keeffe, whose brother Dan became a missing person. Through her own unimaginable experience, Loren has built a movement that advocates for, connects and supports families navigating the unimaginable. It’s a movement many Australians have never heard of… until they need it.
The statistics are confronting:
* More than 150 Australians are reported missing every day.
* Over 56,000 missing person reports were made to police in 2023.
* More than 12 people are directly affected by every single missing person.
* While around 90% are located within a week, up to 3% become long-term missing persons, leaving families living with years—or decades—of unanswered questions.
This year, during National Missing Persons Week, I’ll be taking on my own challenge by travelling Bridge to Bridge—walking or rollerblading (weather dependent)—to raise awareness for this incredibly important cause.
I walk for my dad and I walk for every family still searching, still hoping, and still asking, “Where are they?”
If you’ve never heard of The Missed Foundation before today, I encourage you to take a few moments to learn about the incredible work they do and why it matters so much.
Because no family should have to carry the weight of ambiguous loss alone. đź’™

Earlier in the month, I had the privilege of attending a cadaver anatomy dissection workshop at Sydney Eye Hospital with Dr Lucas de Siqueira.
There is something incredibly humbling about returning to anatomy. It reminds you that every treatment we perform is built on a deep understanding of the structures beneath the skin—not trends, not shortcuts, but science.
Continuing education is one of the most important investments I can make for my patients. Every course, every workshop and every opportunity to learn strengthens my clinical judgement and reinforces my commitment to providing safe, thoughtful, evidence-based care.
The day we stop learning is the day we stop growing.
A sincere thank you to Hugel for supporting this educational opportunity, and to Dr Lucas de Siqueira for sharing his knowledge and expertise.
At La Forme Esthetique, excellence isn’t just about outcomes—it’s about continually refining the knowledge and skills that make those outcomes possible.

1996 ➡️ 2026
I came across this women’s health booklet from 1996, and it really made me stop and reflect.
Not because it was “wrong”—but because it shows just how much our understanding of women’s health has evolved.
For decades, many women were told to simply cope with symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, low mood, poor sleep and stress. Today, we’re asking better questions. We’re recognising the important role hormones, metabolism, lifestyle and overall health can play in a woman’s wellbeing.
We’re moving from simply managing symptoms to understanding why they’re happening.
While there’s still more progress to be made, it’s encouraging to see women’s health finally receiving the attention and research it deserves.
At La Forme Esthetique, we’re proud to offer Women’s Health Consultations in a safe, supportive and evidence-based environment. Whether you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, hormonal concerns, or simply not feeling like yourself, our goal is to listen, understand your concerns, and work with you to develop an individualised plan that supports your long-term health and wellbeing.
Because every woman deserves to feel heard, understood and empowered to take control of her health.
Women’s health isn’t just about living longer—it’s about living better. 🤍

I’ve been a Registered Nurse for 14 years, and was a carer for 21.
What I understand now is that great healthcare isn’t just about treatments—it’s about people.
It’s about taking the time to listen, to understand, and to genuinely care.
That philosophy is at the heart of everything we do at La Forme Esthetique.
I chose nursing as my profession, but looking back at this little girl dressed as a nurse, I think I was always meant to be one. 🤍
