I don’t even really know where to start with this one.
I am so incredibly proud of what we have created, but there is absolutely no way this happened because of me alone. So many people have had a hand in getting us through those doors, and I need to say thank you.
First and foremost, Wayne. ❤️
Thank you for having a hand in every single element of this salon. For listening to every idea, solving every problem, working ridiculous hours and somehow finding a way to make everything I pictured actually happen (along with probably another 400 jobs I invented for you along the way 😂)
Thank you for backing me, for believing in what I wanted to create and for giving so much of yourself to help me make it happen.
There is absolutely no way I could have done this without you and I hope you know how incredibly grateful I am. ❤️
Joel and Alex, thank you for giving up your weekends and being roped into helping build a beautiful salon. I appreciate it more than you know. And Lozzie for your building skills.
To Mum, thank you for listening to every idea, every worry and every update, for bringing lunch when we were too busy to think about food, and for all those little things you quietly do that make everything easier.
To the Smooth girls Emmy, Ellie and Shersten, thank you for backing me the whole way. For working extra, helping with the move, putting up with the chaos and, most importantly, being genuinely excited about this next chapter.
And to Emmy and Ellie’s mums, thank you for constantly asking what you could do to help and for jumping in to help us with our opening night. It means so much to know that our little Smooth family extends beyond just the four of us.

We wanted more room to grow, more room for our girls, more treatments we could offer and, most importantly, a beautiful space where we can continue to look after you.

We had the most amazing night finally opening the doors and welcoming everyone into our new salon. Thank you for coming to celebrate with us, for the beautiful gifts, and to everyone who messaged or sent their well wishes. We felt incredibly loved and supported, and it was the perfect way to begin this next chapter of Smooth.
It really did take a village to build our new home.
And what a bloody good village we have ❤️

It’s been a big week for our Emmy 🤍
Not only did she graduate from high school, but she was also chosen as a successful applicant of the Foundation Broken Hill Training Grant.
Emmy, we are so proud of you! Now get those exams done so you can come and spend more time with us 🤍🤍

Today was one of those days that reminds me just how lucky I am to be surrounded by such beautiful people 🩷🖤
Sepsis awareness is something that is incredibly close to my heart, and today I felt so proud to have my Smooth girls standing beside me.
Emmy and Ellie gave up their own time to come along and help at the Day in the Park for Sepsis Awareness, and Shersten brought her girls along to enjoy the day and show their support too. Girls, thank you. You didn’t have to be there, you chose to be there and that means more to me than you probably realise. I am so proud of the kind and caring girls that make up our little Smooth family 🩷🖤
To Jess… what an incredible day you created. I honestly don’t know how you do it, but the strength you continue to show and the way you have turned Ryan’s journey into something that is educating and bringing together an entire community is pretty special.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Ryan’s journey. It is a privilege I will never take for granted. There is nowhere I would rather be than standing beside you, supporting you, Ryan and your beautiful family 🩷🖤
And to our community….. WOW. Today was such a beautiful reminder of what happens when people rally around one of their own. To see so many people come together to support Ryan and his family, while also helping spread the message of sepsis awareness was incredibly moving.
Today wasn’t just a day in the park. It was a community standing together for Ryan, for his family, and for every person whose life has been touched by sepsis.
I’m just incredibly grateful to have been a small part of it 🩷🖤
