I ❤️ Arabs. Their eyes, their soul… they just captivate me.
And I ❤️ these young ladies who have jumped in with so much enthusiasm to help me with these beautiful greys.
Prince hasn’t had anyone sit on him in 3 years. 😳 Every time I planned to get on, he’d come up with a new injury, last year he ruptured his peronious tertious in the paddock! It was awful 😩 and I didn’t think he’d heal… but he has 🙌
Dancer hasn’t been ridden in over 12 months. Since she came to me, I’ve simply let her heal from chronic burnout and years of sleep deprivation.
Prince is a healthy little dirtbag 🤣 He clearly doesn’t want to be grey! He’s come back with a much happier, more sensible outlook on life…❤️
Today they were both incredible. So much trust, connection and love. Moments like these remind me that taking the time to let horses heal—physically and mentally—is always worth it. 💕🐴

I like the equi core concepts band - I used to use it all the time! Then I delved into tensegrity and realised I’m just training dysfunction so stopped using them.
Tried applying neuroplasticity work but I have some mares especially who don’t really wanna know about their body ailments or some days they do some days they don’t! Ya know hormones
Pulled it out recently for Dancer, I figure if she strengthens up her dysfunctions. Then I can help find more function in them. Walking in this core band has helped her loads mentally, she’s calmer in the paddock and hanging out close in the herd too.
Bandage guts I saw no improvement, but he’s already got a good core and loves the tensegrity exercises we do
Judi - she likes the easy band, but the other day she did the equi core and was pooofed
Do you use any b***y bands? ***ybands🍑
✨ A healthy topline isn’t built overnight… it’s built from the inside out. Do you agree?
If you can clearly see your horse’s spine, it’s a sign they may need more muscle over their back. A good topline isn’t just about appearance—it’s essential for comfort, performance and long-term soundness.
Even when your horse is spelling, they shouldn’t completely lose their topline. Muscle should be maintained with the right nutrition and management.
💪 The foundations of a great topline:
• Quality nutrition – the right balance of protein, healthy fats and carbohydrates.
• Amino acids – Lysine is the #1 limiting amino acid and it must come from the diet. Grass and grass hay are naturally low in lysine, so many horses don’t get enough.
• A comfortable body – correct saddle fit, healthy muscles and balanced feet all allow your horse to move correctly and build muscle.
• Functional walking – one of the best exercises for activating the whole body. Balanced canter and gallop work also help develop strength when the horse is ready.
🚫 Avoid shortcuts.
High-grain, high-sugar diets and gadgets that force a horse’s head into a frame don’t create real topline. They often build a false outline while contributing to muscle soreness, poor movement and an increased risk of digestive issues.
🌿 Our Body Builder is designed to support real muscle development from the inside out.
✔️ 12g of lysine per scoop
✔️ Complete amino acid profile
✔️ Probiotics for gut health
✔️ MSM to support muscle recovery
Combined with lupins, lucerne, quality grassy hay and our organic minerals, you’re giving your horse the building blocks they need to develop a strong, healthy topline that lasts.
✨ Feed the body, support the gut, let the muscles follow.

Miss Dancer is thriving on a high roughage fibre, high-protein diet with a small amount of healthy fat.
She receives around 3 times her weight in quality protein, 40 grams of lysine, along with plenty of quality grassy hay.
Without enough protein, Dancer’s body tells us very quickly. She becomes hormonal, anxious, starts fence walking, weaving, and shows a lot of those “silly” behaviours that are often blamed on the horse rather than looking at what’s happening inside.
People often ask, “Doesn’t that much protein damage her kidneys?” “Cause them to excessively sweat?”
No. I have trailed it on other horses too
Her blood work is perfect.
Just because a horse is fed more protein doesn’t automatically mean it’s harmful. The key is feeding the right horse, based on what that individual horse needs.
I’m much the same. I thrive on protein and healthy fats, but I don’t do well on insulin-spiking grains. Yet so many horse feeds marketed for weight gain are packed with cereals, grains and fillers. They are cheap
Every horse is an individual. Instead of following trends or feeding what everyone else does, I listen to what the horse is telling me. Dancer has shown me exactly what her body needs, and the results speak for themselves.
Compared to his previous racing life, this one must feel very different. ❤️
I’ve been told countless times that I’m “too kind” to be a racehorse trainer. I am… it gives me anxiety because I see things, and I feel things that many others don’t.
I could never drug a horse just to get a result. Instead, I took the time to learn, listen, and work out what would genuinely benefit the horse and what they were trying to tell me. Doesn’t matter if they are a racehorse or pleasure hack your diet makes a tremendous difference.
I’ve had people say, “They will be okay… they’re just racing lame.” That has never, and will never, be good enough for me.
Our feeding program is completely different. It’s grain-free, and it took a lot of trial, learning, and patience to get confidence in it and it still a work in progress. Time and time again, the horses were telling me that grain meant gut pain, joint, muscle inflammation and I simply couldn’t ignore that.
Our supplements are designed to complement your diet —not cover up problems. We focus on organic minerals, quality amino acids, and supporting a healthy gut because healthy horses perform better when they’re comfortable, not because they’re pushed through pain.
They don’t get a choice in the life we ask them to live. The least we can do is listen to them.
Hugh is very happy in himself 😍
I wonder if Sparkles would like to come back into work 🤣

Bandage guts - Hugh went to his first start back today 🙌 1000 mtr at Sunshine Coast! Was exciting and nerve wracking for me 🤣
6 months since his last start, he’s had the revamp and revitalise works! Lotsa positives from this fitness run 💪
He’s the one in orange silks
🏇He was in a sprint field, and only has long distance blood lines
🏇Stepped up 2 grades and provincial too
🏇He’s on a grain free diet - NO corn, barley or oats
🏇No longer has wolf teeth or a bandage in his gut 😳
🏇 Eats hay on float on way there and home
🏇The lugging bit and blinkers are removed
🏇Strong, but present and strided out so good
🏇Jumped out of barriers on point 🙌
🏇Jockey said he just wanted to keep going past the post, and he did a great job keeping pace with the sprinters
Grace and Adrian did a great job, whilst I enjoyed the outing with Fred, Sue n Colin 🍷 😃
He’s the one in barrier 7
Jumped well but sprint horses have that explosive speed
