Kindred began with a love and a loss that changed me forever, and finding someone I could trust to help give that story a visual language meant so much.

Clare took so much care in bringing each piece of Kindred to life, and somehow made it even more beautiful than I had imagined. I feel incredibly lucky to have shared the process of creating something so close to my heart with her, and so grateful for everything she brought to this deck 💜

I used to share my dogs, particularly Nahla, a lot on this page.

Funny videos. Pictures of her ‘helping’ with packing orders. Guarding the crystals as though they were her own. 😅

Then… I stopped.

So quietly that most of you probably didn’t even notice.

Because on 24 October 2024 - I lost her.

I could never bring myself to post about it. To say it out loud. Even writing a caption that acknowledged she was gone felt impossible.

It just hurt too much.

But in the months that followed, something unexpected began to grow from that grief.

I created Kindred Spirits - a 44 card reflection deck for anyone navigating the loss of a dog they loved with their whole heart.

Today - I can finally share it.

If Kindred Spirits can help even one person feel seen, understood, or simply a little less alone in their grief, then it has become everything I hoped it would be.
