Everyone has important moments worth celebrating.
Weddings. Family photos. Branding sessions. Galas. Awards nights. Graduations.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping people prepare for some of life's most meaningful and photographed moments through LMT Artistry. While every occasion is different, the goal is always the same: helping my clients feel confident, comfortable and like the very best version of themselves.
Whether you're stepping in front of a camera, walking into an important event, or celebrating a milestone, professional hair and makeup is about more than how you look. It's about how you feel.
I'd love to know what's coming up for you over the next 12 months.

My goal has never been to transform people into someone they're not.
Whether I'm working with a bride, a business owner preparing for a branding shoot or someone attending a special event, I want them to feel like themselves, just more confident.
The best compliment I receive isn't "my makeup looked amazing."
It's "I still felt like me."
What makes you feel most confident?

One of the biggest surprises for clients is learning that makeup designed for photography isn't quite the same as makeup worn day-to-day.
Professional lighting and cameras naturally soften colour, depth and definition. That's why photography makeup is carefully balanced to ensure you still look fresh, polished and confident in every image.
Over the past 14 months, I've spent time expanding my knowledge of how makeup performs under different lighting conditions and through the lens of professional photography. Understanding how cameras capture colour, texture and contrast has reinforced something I've always believed: beautiful makeup isn't just about how it looks in person, it's also about how it translates on camera.
It's not about wearing more makeup.
It's about wearing the right makeup, in the right places, for the right purpose.
Whether you're preparing for a personal branding session, family photographs, professional headshots, a wedding or a special event, your look should feel just as beautiful in your photos as it does when you look in the mirror.
Have you ever been disappointed with how your makeup looked in professional photos? I'd love to hear about your experience.

What makes a great wedding supplier?
Communication.
Reliability.
Professionalism.
These things might not sound glamorous, but they're often what separates a good wedding experience from a stressful one.
The best suppliers don't just deliver a service.
They help you feel supported throughout the entire journey.

One of the first questions I ask every bride is:
"How do you want to feel on your wedding day?"
Most brides answer before they've even thought about hair or makeup.
Confident. Beautiful. Relaxed. Comfortable. Elegant.
The styling comes after the feeling.
Because the best bridal look isn't just about how you look. It's about how you feel when you're wearing it.

What Happens During a Bridal Consultation?
A bridal consultation is where your wedding day beauty vision starts to come to life.
We'll discuss your wedding style, dress, colour palette, venue, timeline, and the overall look you want to achieve. I'll ask questions about your hair, skin, beauty routine, and any concerns you may have, so every recommendation is tailored specifically to you.
This is also your opportunity to share inspiration photos, ask questions, and receive professional guidance on what will work best for your features, style, and wedding day plans.
The goal isn't just beautiful hair and makeup. It's creating a clear plan, building trust, and ensuring you feel confident and excited about your wedding day beauty experience.

When Should You Schedule Your Bridal Preview?
One of the most common questions I get from brides is, "When should I book my bridal preview?"
My recommendation? Within 3 months of your wedding day.
Scheduling your preview too far in advance can sometimes lead to second-guessing. Trends change, inspiration photos change, and you may find yourself questioning decisions you were originally excited about.
A preview held closer to your wedding allows us to:
• Finalise a look that reflects your current vision
• Ensure your hair, colour, and skin are similar to how they'll be on the day
• Refine the details and make any necessary adjustments
• Build confidence so you know exactly what to expect
The goal of a bridal preview isn't just to choose a hairstyle or makeup look. It's to leave feeling certain, excited, and completely confident in your choices.
Book your wedding date early. Book your preview closer to the day.

Top Mistakes Brides Make When Planning Their Wedding Beauty Services
After 17 years in the beauty industry, I've seen firsthand how thoughtful planning can create a calm, enjoyable wedding morning and how a few common oversights can add unnecessary stress. Here are some of the biggest mistakes brides make when organising their hair and makeup services:
Waiting Too Long to Book
Most experienced bridal artists have limited availability and popular wedding dates can book out well in advance. Securing your beauty team early gives you the best chance of working with professionals whose style and approach align with your vision.
Skipping a Bridal Preview Session
A bridal preview is one of the most valuable parts of the planning process.
Many brides have inspiration photos saved but haven't seen those looks translated onto their own features, hair type, colouring, dress style, or overall wedding aesthetic. A preview session allows us to explore ideas together and determine whether what you think you want is actually what feels right for you.
Just as importantly, the preview helps build trust and rapport with your artist. By the time your wedding day arrives, we already know what works, what needs refining, and exactly how to achieve your desired look. This preparation ensures the day runs smoothly, eliminates uncertainty, and allows you to relax and enjoy the experience.
Not Thinking Through the Wedding Morning Timeline
Hair and makeup is often one of the first services to begin on the wedding day, which means timing matters. A well-planned schedule helps keep the morning organised, relaxed, and running on time.
Choosing Trends Over Personal Style
Trends come and go, but your wedding photographs will last a lifetime. The most successful bridal looks are those that reflect your personality and make you feel like the best version of yourself.
Making Major Skincare Changes Close to the Wedding
Introducing new products, treatments, or skincare routines too close to the wedding can sometimes lead to irritation or unexpected reactions. Consistency is usually the safest approach in the weeks leading up to your day.
Underestimating Bridal Party Requirements
If your bridesmaids, mother of the bride, or other family members require styling services, these details should be discussed early. Accurate numbers allow for proper scheduling and ensure everyone is ready on time.
Choosing Based on Price Alone
Your hair and makeup artist plays a significant role in your wedding morning experience. Experience, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are just as important as creating beautiful hair and makeup.
My biggest piece of advice? Invest in professionals you trust, allow plenty of time for planning, and never underestimate the value of a bridal preview session. The more preparation completed before your wedding day, the more confident and relaxed you'll feel when the day finally arrives.
