Time…

We spend so much of our lives rushing to the next thing, filling every space, solving every problem, moving from one task to another.

Yet healing, growth and wisdom rarely arrive in a hurry.

We need to gift ourselves more time.
Time to feel what is asking to be felt.
Time to breathe deeply and soften the grip of busyness.
Time to simply be, without needing to fix, achieve or become.

Nature does not rush the seasons, and neither should we.

This week, may you create a little more space between the doing and the being. In that space, you may just find yourself.

Know that awareness itself is a profound act of healing.

The more willing we are to look within, the less we are driven by what remains unseen.

What have I been treating on the massage table lately?

• Wrist pain and restrictions
• Thumb discomfort and overuse injuries
• Tight, sore shoulders
• Tension through the back of the torso
• Neck pain and stiffness

The body has an incredible ability to adapt, but when compensation patterns build over time, discomfort often follows. Addressing these areas early can help restore movement, reduce pain, and improve overall function

Yin Yoga works deeply into the fascia, joints and connective tissues, inviting space where there has been tension and softness where there has been holding.

No rushing. No forcing. Just time, breath and the opportunity to listen to what your body has been trying to tell you.

What does self care mean to you?

The older I get, the more I realise self care isn’t something I do. It’s a relationship I have with myself.

It’s listening when my body asks me to slow down. It’s honouring my energy instead of pushing through. It’s trusting that rest is productive and stillness has wisdom to offer.

In shamanic teachings, illness, exhaustion and discomfort are often seen as messengers. Not something to fight against, but something to sit with and learn from.

Self care is creating enough space to hear those messages.

Sometimes that looks like yoga.
Sometimes it’s time in nature.
Sometimes it’s a massage, a nap, tears, laughter, or simply saying no.

For me, self care is an act of respect. A way of saying to my body, my spirit and my ancestors, “I hear you.”

What does self care mean to you?
