What an amazing experience this weekend was. Attending the Australian Business Woman’s Champions Awards last night at the The Fullerton Hotel Sydney | Luxury Hotel Sydney. Just being a finalist already means that of the 22 judges they thought my little business Albury Wodonga Wedding Expo was worthy of being a finalist. Over 800 people in that room last night. We heard inspirational speeches, and there were tears and lots of laughs.
My take home from this event is… we as women can do anything we put our minds to. The hours of time, the set backs, the challenges and the goal posts being moved teaches you so much about yourself and there will always be a solution in any problem. You just need to find another way.

Thank you to my family, Leigh Robertson and Georgia Robertson for allowing me to follow my goals and be the best version of myself.

Megz Gardner my beautiful friend and Wedding Expo Ambassador. What a beautiful role model you are.

My Zoe Pandur Lash and Brow Group always making me look a million bucks!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement! I’m so grateful. Sydney was a blast 💥

Until next year, Shine Bright ✨

I am so excited to share that my little side hustle has been selected from 3500 entries from across Australia as a finalist in the Event category for the Australian Woman’s Small Business Champions Award.

A red carpet gala event will be held in Sydney at the Fullerton Hotel on the 27th September and my bags are packed already 😉

The national finalist position is particularly significant because it follows a deliberate decision to look beyond the local awards circuit and test the business against a much broader field.

The Australian Women’s Small Business Awards celebrate outstanding women in small businesses placing my regional Events business firmly on a national stage. It’s about showing what’s possible for a regional business when you are willing to back yourself and step onto a bigger stage.

Of course the success of this event relies heavily on the support from our community. Without the business and visitors to the expo this wouldn’t be possible.

Thank you to everyone involved, my family and close friends. What an absolute honour to be even a finalist.

Thank you to Precedent Productions for celebrating women in small business. I’m so looking forward to being in a room full of inspiring women.

Shine ✨ Bright!

WOW WOW WOW!!! A letter to the editor of The Border Mail was published today.

Thank you to everyone involved in another successful event. It takes months in the planning and the lead up & is not possible without the support of the business, community and army of helpers.

I would like to acknowledge the success of the Albury Wodonga Wedding Expo, held today, Sunday 5 July, at the SS&A Club in Albury.

With more than 40 local wedding vendors representing every sector of the industry, the expo provided prospective brides and grooms with a genuine one-stop shop experience. The day featured fashion parades, giveaways and valuable one-on-one advice from experienced local professionals. The event was exceptionally well organised and presented to a standard that would rival many of the larger capital city wedding expos.

Beyond supporting local wedding businesses, the expo also delivered wider benefits to our region. Vendors and visitors alike travelled to Albury for the weekend, staying in local accommodation and supporting our restaurants, cafés and other businesses. This ripple effect is a valuable boost to the local economy and demonstrates the importance of events such as this.

Mrs Bronwyn Robertson of Bella Events deserves to be recognised for her dedication and vision. Having successfully organised this expo for many years, she continues to grow and improve it, creating opportunities for local businesses while showcasing the very best our region has to offer.

Congratulations to Bronwyn and every wedding industry vendor involved in another outstanding Albury Wodonga Wedding Expo. Our community is fortunate to have people who invest so much time and effort into promoting local business and bringing people to our region.
