Are you able to attend the Kundalini Yoga & Meditation class tomorrow morning at 5:30am?
We are stepping into a powerful portal of manifestation with the upcoming 08/08 portal. The power of the number 8 is highly significant in our inner power to manifest.
To truly manifest, you have to feel safe in your body.
It might be good to contemplate the following questions"
How is my energy feeling?
What is it that I want to call in?
Do I feel like my energy is aligned and safe with that truth?
8/8 is the time of year when the Sirius star reappears in the night sky. It is the brightest star in the night sky and is known as our “spiritual Sun”.
Since ancient times, Sirius has held great significance. When visible with Orion’s Belt, the energy is believed to open opportunities and is a "portal" where new beginnings are available to us.
8/8 also marks the start of Imbolc. Imbolc serves as a marker of hope, renewal, and the transition from winter to spring. It reflects both agricultural and spiritual cycles, emphasising fertility, purification and preparation for growth. A beautiful time to align your inner and outer worlds.
Tomorrow's class is going to be very meditation-focused.
We will be aligning with the holy trinity - the pineal gland, pituitary gland and hypothalamus and we will be doing a set of specific meditations to achieve harmony and balance within.
Come and align your energy and feel the strength of what is to come in a collective space.
Bookings are essential.
In person at Kakowan Community Facility, Bunya or online via Zoom.

SELF CARE PRACTICES
A non-negotiable fact as we move through any change that is occurring either within us or around us is that it is essential that we have good self-care practices in place so we can support ourselves through any process unfolding.
You may be moving through healing and closing out internal stress cycles, or you may be moving through hormonal changes, relationship changes, changes with children, a career change, or health changes, and knowing how to support yourself at home can be challenging.
When we are amid change, the most important things that will support us are stress reduction and positive lifestyle changes to better support this stage of life.
Emotionally, we need to support ourselves through this and encourage self-love practices that are going to provide us with safety, stability and nourishment
Due to the natural internal pressure change can bring, whether that is on a chemical level or circumstantial, our lymphatic system can become affected. This is because in a stressed state the breathing muscles become compromised, which can cause a direct impact on the lymphatic, fascia and nervous systems.
From a spiritual viewpoint, our lymphatic system is the system of uncried tears. It is our grief. And through any change we experience, grief will be present, which perfectly highlights the emotional connection we experience with our physical body. Our digestive system can also feel this ‘hold on/let go’ tussle within, so looking after our gut microbiome can greatly support us as we move through change. Oral hygiene is a key player in our digestive and overall health.
Here are a couple of early morning routines you can include to help you do this.
Oil pulling: Oil pulling is fantastic at pulling bad bacteria out of our mouth and system, which leads to a healthier immune system and digestive tract. It will also reduce your stress levels and tension due to jaw loosening and can improve TMJ Syndrome, headaches, and improve lymphatic drainage around the face area.
HOW TO OIL PULL: With coconut oil or sesame seed oil, place a tablespoon of oil in the mouth and swish for 2-5 minutes before spitting the oil out in the bin. Do not spit in the sink or toilets as this will clog your drains. Brush your teeth.
WHICH OIL TO USE: Coconut oil is great as a natural teeth whitener and has cooling properties; however, sesame seed oil supports hormonal balance because it is rich in phytoestrogens. For those moving through the change of life, this oil is great as it can mimic estrogen, which can ease the symptoms of menopause.
Tongue scraping: Tongue scraping can be done with a tongue scraper or floss and should always be done in the mornings so we can scrape off the bacteria that builds up on the tongue as we sleep.
Apply beautiful oils to your whole body: This should be done morning and night. Almond oil is beautiful to use in the mornings, but you can also use a good cold-pressed olive oil, peanut oil or coconut oil (coconut oil can be harder for the skin to absorb and is cooling rather than warming). To get the full health benefits as listed above, using sesame oil at night is ideal, especially if you are going through hormone changes. Sesame oil is very warming and penetrates the skin lining well. It activates tissues and encourages movement of nutrients, promoting relaxation and mental calmness.
You can simply apply the sesame oil to damp skin directly after a shower, or you can use the following recipe to make an infused oil yourself.
Ingredients:
100g dried herb (Calendula Flower can be great as it hydrates and nourishes dry skin and slows the development of wrinkles)
100ml alcohol (use vodka)
2ml distilled water
1000ml sesame oil
Method:
Mix alcohol and distilled water, stir in herbs and macerate in a covered vessel for 24 hours.
Add the sesame oil and warm over a water bath (50-60 degrees). Remove the lid and stir frequently until the alcohol and water have evaporated.
Strain and press the marc. Filter the oil to remove residue before storing in amber bottles.
You can use this oil directly on the skin.
With so many health benefits, adding these steps to your daily morning routine can have such a huge uptick in your physical body and mental health, and is a beautiful way to give yourself some love when you need it most.
With love,
Carly

THE ART OF SURRENDER
One aspect of the healing process that no one truly wants to face but is often the key to freedom is the release of the illusion of control.
Do you think you are controlling?
Many would say no. But control can have many faces. And all too often, if you are feeling controlled by another, it is often a mirror into your own controlling behaviours that you haven’t yet integrated.
We tend to think that control is loud, direct, aggressive and rude.
But control can be passive.
It can be every time you bite your tongue.
Every time you let things slide but hold it.
Every time you are critical of yourself and others.
Every time you choose not to have a difficult conversation.
Every time you try to carry the load for others.
Every time you overgive.
Every time you say yes when you mean no.
Every time you smile but you are being squeezed on the inside.
It can be silent but felt.
Contemplate the following questions:
Do you find you try to control every feeling you have?
Do you try to control outcomes by keeping 4 steps ahead?
Do you try to control the illusion of the ‘perfect life’?
Do you try to control every thought and action?
Do you try to control conversation?
Do you try to control your own voice in fear that if you voice your concerns, desires, or needs, they will not be met?
Fear is what drives control.
What is it that you are scared or fearful of?
Is it the fear that if things are not kept a certain way, it will fall apart?
Is it the fear that if you let go, you will lose, you will be abandoned, you will be unheard, unseen, or disrespected?
Is it the fear of not being enough, not being worthy?
The act of clinging tightly only makes one rigid, depleted and uptight, which can easily bring overwhelm, frustration and anger.
The reality is that you can only bite your tongue so many times until you bite right through it.
In the body, control can feel like a tight jawline, tight shoulders, headaches, anxiety, a constant pull in the solar plexus with a racing heart, TMJ Syndrome, lymphatic issues, ailments with the hips, running thoughts, and breathing issues.
All of these symptoms sound a lot like the fight/flight response, don’t they?
To help move past control, you have to feel safe in your body, in your own skin. This can take time as you have to move through and understand the layers as to why the protective walls have gone up in the first place. This takes time and commitment.
When you feel safe in the body for the first time, it can feel strange to begin with. If you're a person who has been running on fight/flight for years or even most of your life, you might doubt this deep feeling of support to begin with. You might not fully trust what you are feeling. At this critical tipping point, you have to truly face the fear and loosen the grip so you can let go. Be honest with yourself and others. Trust and surrender to the unknown.
Surrender doesn’t mean that you allow anything and everything to happen to you and suppress or bypass your emotions or difficult situations. It is far from it. It is a conscious decision to accept and experience all of your emotions without judgment. Without fear. To allow the internal fight to soften so you can find acceptance and peace, which, when truly felt, is a deep trust that no matter what happens, everything is for your highest good.
To start to embrace letting go you can try some of the suggestions below:
1. In your own time and space, put on music, close your eyes and let your body lead you in movement. Take your mind out of how you should be moving and let yourself feel the music.
2. Do the inner work. Embrace finding yourself through therapies that align with you. This can be things like Reiki and Energy Healing, Root-Cause Therapy, Yoga, Counselling, Psychology, Somatic work, Myofascial Release, TRE. There are many paths you can move down. Whatever you pick, all it requires is your commitment to self, your truth and honesty.
3. Kundalini Yoga & Meditation: The yoga of awareness. Through this practice, you close out open stress cycles. You regulate your nervous system, build resilience, and you clear your energy field, all of which opens you to your heart space where there is opportunity to transmute your pains, hurts and limitations into love.
4. Journal: What am I afraid will happen if I let go? What would letting go feel like?
5. Lie flat in a relaxed state and begin to become aware of the sensations in the body. Notice where you are holding. Where there is tension. Notice any sensation and mentally vibrate, ‘I let go’. Notice this area soften. Once the sensation has been released, move on to the next area for release.
6. Have a piece of cloth or a tissue on hand, and with your favourite essential oil add a few drops to the cloth/tissue. Throughout your day, if you notice you are becoming stressed or overwhelmed, smell the cloth/tissue.
Using our sense of smell is great in drawing us back to the present.
Remember, the art of surrender is easier said than done.
But with complete acceptance of what is, plus trust and deep faith that even without your input, life will flow just as it is meant to, you can experience the unshackling you long for.
With practice, you can start to embrace your strengths and weaknesses and accept that life is a rainbow of colours that are all leading you to your unique pot of gold.
With much love,
Carly

Happy New Moon.
I stepped away from the family evening routine tonight to do a quick 3 minute meditation for the New Moon. You can hear it all going on in the back ground but thats life. 😅
No mic but please join me if you have 3 minutes.
This is Gyan Chakra Kriya.
It attracts abundance and prosperity whilst opening our heart. If you do the arm movements it stimulates the radiance of the halo, expands the aura and strengthens the nervous system. It can adjust our life force so that we can move through intense situations with grace and creativity.
