The Streaky Bay Project

A few days ago, we welcomed a client in to complete selections for her beautiful home in Streaky Bay. With both a bathroom renovation and a new extension underway, there were plenty of exciting choices to make.

The selected palette features elegant brushed gunmetal tapware paired with a stunning double basin vanity, creating a sophisticated and timeless look.

Starting with a mood board, we then brought the vision to life using the Reece Imagine 3D Planner, before finishing with a realistic ChatGPT render to help visualise the completed space. We can’t wait to see it come together! 🚿

When designing with a darker colour palette, it’s important to create balance by incorporating lighter textures, natural materials, and warm lighting. These elements help soften deeper tones and ensure the space feels welcoming, comfortable, and inviting rather than overwhelming or heavy.

Layering a variety of shades, finishes, and materials within the same colour family can also add depth, interest, and sophistication. Combining matte and textured surfaces with timber, stone, fabrics, or metallic accents helps create a more dynamic and considered design, preventing the space from feeling flat or one-dimensional.
