From what I’ve observed, sometimes a person isn’t a deadbeat to everyone—they simply choose who to love, support and show up for. A man can be absent from one child’s life while being fully present in another’s. Sadly, this makes me believe there may be some truth to the idea that some men treat their children according to how they feel about the child’s mother. It isn’t right, because every child deserves equal love and attention, regardless of the relationship between the parents.
