Raised in Switzerland, Lida Fischer relocated to Beverly Hills, bringing her European style and strong business sense with her. She quickly found success managing music producers and EDM DJ’s. Having her makeup professionally done was costly, but a necessity for the many parties, meetings, and red carpet events that she attended for work regularly. When she did attempt to do her own makeup, the mo
st time consuming and frustrating part of the application was creating a perfect cat eye look. The spoon and scotch tape methods found online were ineffective, and the mistakes caused by these methods consumed additional time. Even professional makeup artists had some level of difficulty in creating the perfect cat eye look. In 2014, while sitting in the makeup chair, Lida had an idea. At that moment, she thought of how to create the perfect tool to get flawless, symmetrical cat eyes. She and her husband, Robijn Fischer, began the long process of bringing her idea to life. Starting with clay and molding it into the ideal shape, then morphing into 3D prints, the cat eye stamp was becoming a reality. During the summer of 2014, a prototype was created. The eyeliner stamp was then given to a select few top beauty professionals in the makeup industry. The reviews came back quickly, and unanimously. Everyone loved it, and they all wanted one. Handmade versions were produced for her professional makeup artist friends. By early 2015, Lida had filed for a utility patent to protect her innovative, dual sided stamp and fine point eyeliner applicator. Working closely with top cosmetics manufacturers and the worlds leading chemists, Lida went from cosmetics novice to entrepreneur with a ready-for-market product. Both top industry pros and novice users quickly endorsed the Cleopatra Cat Eye Stamp and she was ready to launch her product globally. Lida and Robijn partnered with longtime friends, and successful entrepreneurs, Giovanni Agnelli and Daniel Rossano. Together, they created Mesmerize Beauty. Mesmerize Beauty is launching several new products in 2017 and is excited to be collaborating with the most successful makeup and beauty professionals in the business.
