Not every painful wrist has the same underlying problem.
Some wrists become painful because the joint is wearing and stiffening. Others remain painful because the ligaments are no longer controlling the joint properly.
That distinction matters because the treatment pathway can be completely different.
My priority is to identify whether the problem is degenerative, ligament-related, or mechanically unstable before deciding what comes next.
A good wrist treatment plan starts with understanding the mechanics.

To every young doctor still finding their way through medical training and surgical residency, remember that expertise is built slowly.
The long hours, difficult cases, mistakes, feedback, and constant learning are all part of becoming a confident specialist.
You may feel like you still have a very long way to go. But keep going. One day, the knowledge you are building today will become the expertise someone else trusts tomorrow.

Pain can be very specific, but the diagnosis often requires a wider look.
When I assess shoulder or elbow pain, the aim is not simply to name the painful area. It is to understand which structure is actually responsible and why it is being overloaded or irritated.
That distinction matters because tendon problems, joint problems and mechanical issues are not treated in the same way.
The right treatment starts with the right diagnosis.
Watch the reel to understand how I approach shoulder and elbow pain before deciding on treatment.

Some surgeons are remembered for their technical skill.
Others are remembered for how they make the entire team feel while doing difficult work.
The best operating rooms are built on more than surgical expertise. They need calm thinking, respect, teamwork, teaching and trust.
Which one have you worked with before? 👇

Seeing the words “rotator cuff tear” on an MRI can make surgery feel inevitable.
But in shoulder care, the real decision is not simply whether a tear exists. It is whether that tear is affecting strength, function and the patient’s ability to use the shoulder the way they need to.
Some tears can be managed without surgery. Others are better treated earlier, particularly when there is significant weakness or a traumatic injury.
The treatment should match the patient and the shoulder, not just the MRI report.
Watch the reel to understand what I assess before recommending the next step.

PRP and stem-cell treatments are often compared as if one is always better than the other.
In reality, the right choice depends on the condition of your knee, the stage of arthritis, and what your joint actually needs.
A proper assessment of cartilage, alignment, inflammation and symptoms is the first step before considering any treatment option.
Every knee is different. The treatment should be planned around the joint, not the trend.
