Hon Winnie Kakunta

It All started with an idea from heaven, sown on the passion to see to it that others are empowered. I first needed to do it my self to apprecaite what it takes, from buying avocado seed from Soweto market, washing the seed, organising black soil, putting 1 seed at a time to reaching 15000 looking for partnership....met MUSIKA who believed in me and recommended me to PUSH Women Network. What a big motivation. To God be All the honour and praise.

BENA KALUMBILA YOU ARE GOOD PEOPLE.

Yestaday in Kalumbila, I was honoured to be part of the FQM Trident consultative and discloser of Kwazangana ( sharing benefits) the community fund that my employer FQM in collaboration with His Royal Highness Senior Chief Musele Musokatanda the 4th has introduced in Musele Chiefdom. I testament of the many great works FQM is doing for the host communities. This mile stone sets grassroot communities participating in the community projects' decision making , from idenfication, selection, completion implementation and project management.

Good morning people of God.
Today I reflect on how a human being is
selfish. We are all self centered.!
I flash back on 10-15 years of working in the community, with a heart to lift others, coaching and mentoring local SME to uptake business opportunities from the great mines in Northwestern. Mostly went out of my way to link them for financial support...grants, markets name them.IT

To all residents of Kalumbila Constituency. I am coming in as your MP to build on the good policies of the UPND government and agenda to build house hold generation income, educate our children as future assest for economic development. As at the grassroot are looking for a leader who will speak for the people at policy level and translate policy to house hold food security, fight poverty through promoting Agriculture in our local products such as Solwezi beans, chilli, ginger, paparika integrated with Long term Hass Avocado, bananas, lemons and papayas for domestuc and export markets. This is traslating the people's need for food, income and job creation at grassroot level.

HAPPY NEW WEEK

SECURING THE FUTURE OF WORK IN KALUMBILA!

Happy Labor Day, Zambia! Happy Labor day my beautiful people of Kalumbila!

Today, we commemorate our workers under a vital theme: "Securing Zambia's Future of Work: Protecting Jobs, Skills and Pensions for Decent Work for All."

As a silent student of President Hakainde Hichilema, I have seen his passion for reforming our pension systems and protecting the dignity of every retiree. But securing the future of work also means ensuring that while you have a job today, you are building the skills and assets for tomorrow.

In Kalumbila, I am already putting this theme into practice through two transformative initiatives:

1. PROTECTING JOBS & BUILDING SKILLS THROUGH TRIKAL
As a woman who is a firm believer in income sustainability, i have pioneered first of its kind TRIKAL Multipurpose Cooperative for FQM Trident employees; connecting 500+ workers to CEEC business loans.

2. DECENT WORK FOR ALL THROUGH WINKAH
I Founded Winkah Women Multipurpose Cooperative, providing the skills, training, and Seeds for over 200 women to enter the high-value fruit market.

To my fellow miners, the farmers, and the entrepreneurs; your work is the backbone of our recovery. Let’s keep building!
