Truth Sets Free is a self supporting group of men and women who are mission minded and are willing to teach and practice the health message in our communities and pointing the people to Christ through the 3 angels message of revelation chapter 14.
Genesis 1:31 declares that God's creation was "very good." But the enemy entered, bringing sin, death, and destruction. The Great Controversy began when Satan challenged God's character and sought to ruin His creation.
Yet God's plan of redemption is a re-creation. Through Christ, He is restoring what was broken. The new heavens and new earth will be even more glorious than the original Eden.
When you settle into your salvation, you live with the hope of re-creation. You know that sin's destruction is not the final word. God is restoring His creation. In this devotion, we'll trust God's plan of redemption and look forward to the restoration of all things.
The context of James 1:8 is prayer. In verse 6, James says, "Let him ask in faith, with no doubting." The double-minded man doubts. He asks God for wisdom, but he does not expect to receive it. He wavers between trusting God and depending on his own understanding.
Double-mindedness undermines prayer. It makes our requests weak and ineffective. It shows a lack of trust in God's character and promises.
When you settle into your salvation, you pray with confidence. You do not doubt God's willingness to answer. You trust His goodness. You ask in faith. In this devotion, we'll commit to praying with single-minded faith.
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for 'love will cover a multitude of sins.'" — 1 Peter 4:8
Peter says above all things—love is preeminent. It is not secondary or optional. It is the highest virtue. And this love is to be fervent, not casual or superficial—intense, active, and persistent. Why? Because love covers a multitude of sins.
Love does not expose or broadcast the failures of others. Love forgives, protects, and restores. Love does not ignore sin, but it does not parade it. It covers with grace, giving opportunity for repentance and healing.
When you settle into your salvation, you love with this kind of fervent, covering love. You do not hold grudges. You do not expose others' faults. You forgive as you have been forgiven. In this devotion, we'll ask God to fill us with a love that covers sins.
Incline your ears" suggests an intentional posture. It is not a passive hearing—it is an active leaning in. It means turning your attention away from other voices and focusing on God's words.
In a world full of noise—busyness, entertainment, and distractions—listening to God requires effort. We must choose to turn away from competing voices and listen to Him.
When you settle into your salvation, you are intentional about hearing God. You set aside time for His Word. You remove distractions. You lean in. You listen with purpose. In this devotion, we'll practice inclining our ears to God's voice.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." — 2 Corinthians 5:21
This verse is often called the "Great Exchange." Jesus, who knew no sin—who was perfectly holy, righteous, and sinless—was made to be sin for us. He took our sin upon Himself, bearing the penalty we deserved. In exchange, we are made the righteousness of God in Him.
This is the heart of the gospel. It is not just forgiveness—it is substitution. He took our sin. He gave us His righteousness. We receive what we do not deserve, and He bore what we could not bear.
When you settle into your salvation, you rest in this exchange. You do not try to earn your righteousness—you receive it. You do not carry your guilt—He carried it. You are made righteous in Christ. In this devotion, we'll thank God for the greatest exchange in history.
Became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." — Hebrews 11:7
Noah was not saved by his works. He was saved by faith. His obedience was the evidence of his faith, not the source of his salvation. He became an heir of righteousness—the righteousness that comes by faith.
This is the heart of the gospel. We are not saved by our good works. We are saved by faith. And that faith produces works—like Noah's ark. But the works do not save; faith saves.
When you settle into your salvation, you rest in the righteousness of Christ. You do not trust in your own works. You trust in Him. And your works are the fruit of your faith, not the root of it. In this devotion, we'll thank God for the righteousness that comes by faith.
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Paul gives three short, powerful commands: rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks. The first command is to rejoice. This is not a suggestion—it is a command. Rejoice always—in every season, in every trial, in every blessing. Joy is not dependent on circumstances; it is rooted in the character of God and the hope of salvation.
When you settle into your salvation, your joy is not fragile. It does not depend on your circumstances. You rejoice in the Lord, not in your situation. You have a hope that cannot be shaken. In this devotion, we'll learn to rejoice always.
The remnant church—those who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus—will face tribulation in the last days. But they will not be overcome. They will be marked by hope, patience, and prayer. Their hope is in the soon return of Jesus. Their patience is tested but not broken. Their prayer is constant.
These three are the marks of a people who are ready for the end. They do not give up. They do not give in. They endure by hope, patience, and prayer.
When you settle into your salvation, you join the remnant in this endurance. You do not lose hope. You do not abandon prayer. You persevere. In this devotion, we'll commit to hope, patience, and prayer as we await the soon return of Jesus.
