*🕯️ A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR OUR SISTERS 🕯️*
Today, I am pausing business to speak from my heart as a woman, as a neighbour, and as a resident of Gauteng.
Our community is hurting. Over the past two months, nine women’s bodies have been found across Ekurhuleni — in Kempton Park, Olifantsfontein, Kwa-Thema, Dawn Park and surrounding areas.
These women had names. They had families. They were daughters, mothers, sisters and friends.
We honour:
Itumeleng Kekana, Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo — a mom who never came home from her evening run — and Gracious Nkomo, who was just identified this week by her family. And we honour the other women who have not yet been identified, whose families are still waiting for answers.
*I condemn these senseless, brutal killings in the strongest terms.*
No woman should be unsafe walking, running, or living in her own community. We cannot continue like this.
As All About The Scoops, we stand with every victim, every family, and every woman who feels unsafe right now. We extend our deepest condolences to the families during this extremely difficult time.
*Please join me in a moment of silence today for them.*
