🗣️ NEYMAR JR: “When I played against Guardiola in 2015, he told me: ‘You have everything to become the best player in the world.’ I replied: ‘How can I do that while Messi is here? He’s the best in the world.’ He said: ‘You have Messi, and he’s everything you need to become the best player in the world.’

‘Messi is with you on the same team, and he’s the only one who can help you become the best player and win the Ballon d’Or one day.’ I said: ‘If Messi wins, it’s like I win too.’ He told me: ‘You have to take advantage of Messi’s presence on the team. He is your magic formula to win the Ballon d’Or. You know Messi won’t let you leave without winning it. Just follow him.’

‘In fact, Guardiola and Messi know each other well; they each understand the other’s personality and share one characteristic—they are the best in the world of football.’”
