Created by a local cold-water swimmer who thinks Altona winters are actually pretty bloody good. 😂

This has been a long time coming, and I honestly can’t wait to welcome you all down to Altona Beach.

A couple of things to know…

🔥 Public sessions are designed for 4 people who don’t know each other, giving everyone plenty of space to relax.

🔥 Want the sauna all to yourselves? Simply book all four spots and bring up to 5 friends (6 people in total) for a private experience. It’s a great way to enjoy Heat together and can work out to be a more affordable option.

This is our pilot season, so I’d also love your feedback.

The session times I’ve chosen aren’t set in stone. I’ve done my best to pick times that I think will work, but if you think I’ve got it wrong, please let me know. I can’t promise I’ll change everything, but I’m absolutely open to suggestions. This is something we’re building with the community, and your feedback genuinely matters.

After months of planning, pivots, phone calls, paperwork, and a whole lot of belief..

Heat Sauna House is about so much more than a sauna. It’s about creating a place where people can slow down, connect, embrace winter, and enjoy everything that makes Hobsons Bay so special.

I genuinely love this part of Melbourne. It’s where I swim, paddle, watch the sun rise, and spend time with family and friends. Being able to bring something like this to Altona feels incredibly special.

PLOT TWIST… 🔥

As with any new business, there are always a few unexpected hurdles.

We’re still working through a couple of last-minute challenges at Seaworks, and we’re hopeful we’ll be there soon. But we didn’t want to keep everyone waiting…

Heat’s pilot season is officially heading to Altona! 🌊

From 22 August – 3 October, we’ll be running Altona’s first community sauna, just next door to the icecream shop on Altona Beach.

A huge thank you to the legends Daylesford Mobile Sauna , who have supported this idea from day one. We’ll be running our pilot season in their beautiful wood-fired sauna, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

If you’ve followed along, you’ll recognise this beach. It’s where so many of my sunrise swims and paddle board adventures happen, and it’s where the idea for Heat first began.

As close to the water as I could get it. 🌅

We can’t wait to welcome you for six weeks of heat, fresh air, good people and community.
