PCOS is now being renamed PMOS: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. 🤍
As someone who personally deals with this condition, hearing this made me so happy. For years, so many women have struggled with symptoms that go far beyond what the name “PCOS” ever explained.
This condition can affect so much more than ovaries. Hormones, metabolism, acne, weight changes, irregular cycles, fertility struggles, exhaustion, anxiety, and even unwanted facial hair. So many of us have spent years feeling frustrated, embarrassed, dismissed, or just exhausted trying to “fix” symptoms nobody fully understood.
PMOS affects about 1 in 8 women, and I know so many of my clients quietly carry this too, even if they rarely talk about it.
Seeing experts finally acknowledge the full-body impact of this condition makes me feel hopeful. More awareness means more understanding, better care, and hopefully less shame surrounding symptoms women have been dealing with silently for years. 🫶
