Slowing down is an important step to resetting your nervous system. I was talking to one of my friends last night and we both agreed—where are we rushing to? In the midst of rushing you can’t listen for direction. Connection through stillness is the only way to really get in alignment with what is truly destined for you. Take a minute or five to sllllllooooow down. 🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️💚💚💚

I have to remind myself of this daily. Whenever you set a goal it’s easy to hold yourself to an unreasonable expectation that you will achieve it with perfection. In my nervous system reset this month I imagined myself effortlessly completing it. Within the first few days of August I didn’t do everything that I wanted each day 😩😩😩. Instead of dropping the challenge I decided to be gentle with myself and recognize that it’s progress not perfection that is the goal.

Expecting miracles has been my intentional gratitude practice for June. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. I think I’ll keep it going for July. 💜💙💚

Spending time with your friends who know you and get you is so paramount to wellness 🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️

Feeling grateful…that’s it that’s all.

Be still…know that you are NEVER alone. Things may seem bleak, but my faith reassures me that I…WE…will be alright. I will not allow all of the things that happen to dampen my spirit or darken my light! I’m built for this!! My ancestors survived worse. I am safe. I am healthy. I am loved. I am at peace.
