How do you choose the right sculpture scale for a room?

The answer goes beyond measurements. Architecture, viewing distance, furniture, placement, lighting, and the sculpture’s material all affect how it feels in a space.

My latest blog explores how to choose a sculpture with enough presence to be noticed while still allowing the room to breathe.

The right sculpture doesn't just fit the space—it makes the entire room feel more alive.

What a wonderful evening at the AKC Museum of the Dog! 🐾🎨

I was honored to have my artwork included in the Dog Days of Summer: Members Exhibition alongside so many talented artists.

It was especially lovely sharing the evening with fellow animal artist Joanne Magee, who also had her work featured in the exhibition.

A fun evening celebrating art, animals, creativity, and community in New York City. So grateful to have been part of it! ❤️

How do you start collecting contemporary art well?

Begin with the work that holds your attention—not simply what is trending or matches the room. A meaningful collection develops slowly through curiosity, careful research, and pieces you'll be grateful to live with.

My latest blog explores how to develop your eye, understand an artist’s practice, establish a responsible budget, request proper documentation, and select art with lasting personal significance.

The goal is not to own what appears important. It is to live with art that becomes more important to you over time.

☀️ Solar Tiger ☀️

Bold. Brilliant. Unapologetically powerful.

Part of the Flame of the Forest series, Solar Tiger captures the strength, independence, and commanding beauty of the tiger in radiant yellow resin.

A little sunshine. A lot of attitude. 🐅✨

✨ When Pigs Fly ✨

Meet Pippa, Poppy & Pixie, the colorful trio from my When Pigs Fly collection.

🧡 Pippa — Orange
❤️ Poppy — Red
💚 Pixie — Green

Created in luminous resin, each one catches the light in its own magical way. This playful collection is a reminder to dream a little bigger, embrace the unexpected, and never be afraid to believe in something that seems impossible.

Because sometimes… pigs really do fly.

Which one is your favorite—Pippa, Poppy or Pixie?

There’s something I love about seeing a sculpture from every angle—the movement, the personality, and the little details that give each figure its own story.

These pieces are full of character: playful, expressive, a little unexpected, and very much alive. That’s part of what I love most about creating sculpture—taking a moment, an emotion, or a personality and giving it a physical presence.

Which one catches your eye first? I’d love to know. 👇

The best contemporary animal artists do more than capture an animal’s appearance. They explore its power, mystery, vulnerability, and connection to the human experience.

My latest blog highlights six artists who transform animal imagery through painting, sculpture, photography, and innovative materials.

🔥 Ember Tiger 🐅

Tigers have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. Traveling to India and having the opportunity to see these extraordinary animals in their natural habitat only deepened that connection.

Powerful, intelligent and fiercely independent, the tiger embodies a rare balance of strength, beauty and grace.

Cast in luminous red resin, Ember Tiger captures that energy in motion—quietly commanding, intensely focused and completely self-possessed.

To me, the tiger will always be a symbol of courage, freedom and independence.

Resin | 8” H × 14” W × 5” D

What does the tiger symbolize to you? 🐅❤️

There’s an art to taking care of ourselves, too. ❤️

Just as I’m always fine-tuning a painting or sculpture—paying attention to balance, form, and the smallest details—I believe our bodies deserve that same attention.

So grateful for time spent training with my friend Heather Henson and our trainer Rob. Staying strong, moving our bodies, and continuing to challenge ourselves is all part of keeping the creativity flowing.

Our bodies are perhaps the most important works of art we’ll ever take care of. 💪🎨✨
